Desperate to distance herself from her problems, she runs, taking the first job in her field that she finds willing to take on someone with so little experience.

The last thing she needs is a perpetually pissed off partner, especially when he sets her blood on fire.

But life doesn't ask how much you can handle when it dishes out challenges. It just keeps piling them on until you've bested them or you've buckled under them.

Sean really doesn't want to like his new partner, Naomi. He just wants to be left alone to live his life however he damn well pleases and without complications.

Naomi doesn't care what he wants, she can't be anything but herself. It isn't long before she's breaking down his walls and making him feel again. She's trying to pull him closer and he's pushing her away.

It's not long before Sean sees the error of his ways.

It's too bad, though, that by the time he realizes she's the one, Naomi's already gone.

Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!! good overall

Getting better

The stories are finally getting better I don't know if it's because we knew a little more about these characters to begin with or not but I did like finally getting a good resolution and only having one true conflict outside of them fighting their own feelings. Narration is consistently good.

I'm going to go head and drop it like this, ready? I agree with the title of the book, I'm only here for the beard for sure 😋author Lani Lynn Vale has the best titles for her books, some makes you laugh, some makes you blush. I love these characters, they come off as real life people instead of fictional characters. With narrators Mason Lloyd and Kendall Taylor acting out their voices, it makes it that much better.

Her characters are so refreshing. No cookie cutter men or annoying heroines for her. I respect the details she puts into her characters and the build up to love never makes me want to roll my eyes as some have and do. Worth the credit for the whole series.

Really enjoying this series the second or third time around. Love that characters from LLV's other series make appearances in her storyline.

Another awesome book I swear no other author can have you laughing out loud like this one plus the storyline is always great! I’ll definitely want to reread this !

Not one book in this entire series is going to let me down. Each one of these books has it's own unique story and is awesome! I'm giving away nothing. :) It's a must read/listen.

Enjoyable

Loved the main characters and how their HEA was not insta. Grew naturally from friendship with 2 hurt people who found comfort and then love with each other. Loved the twist with the friendship with the old veteran, murder, death and some retribution. I was hooked. GHost will always be one of my favorites, but Sean is now included in my fav compilation. And Naomi is wonderful, spunky and relatable. No damsel in distress and no focus on her past sexual experiences. Very refreshing
