Acerca de esta escucha

From his arrest until his execution in 1989, Ted Bundy was interviewed extensively by psychologists, journalists, and law enforcement. He offered insight into the thoughts and methods of other serial killers. It wasn't until the last few days of his life that he confessed to some of his crimes, which he attributed to a mysterious Entity he claimed compelled him to kill.

Dr. Al Carlisle, PhD, evaluated Bundy for the Utah court in 1976. Ever since, Carlisle has painstakingly reconstructed Ted’s history through conversations with Bundy's friends, lovers, neighbors, investigators—and through Bundy's own words.

The only book of its kind, I'm Not Guilty gives a thorough analysis of the facts of Bundy's life and crimes based on Carlisle's research. Then, through a speculative interview, or roman-a-clef, Carlisle enhances what is known about Bundy’s victims, the origins of the Entity, and Bundy's need to kill. This book helps to explain how a series of choices can lead a good person, step by step, to become a serial killer.

Book one in the Development of the Violent Mind series.

I heard a fetching theory about Ted Bundy and potential links to the MKUltra project that triggered me to look into his personal history. This book does not speculate about such things. However, I was intrigued to hear about this so called “entity” within -that Ted was unable to fully come to terms with. This book will surprise you with it’s details and insights into how this killer thinks. It will leave you both completely satisfied and hungry for more. It might even make you fearful of your own mind.

Enjoyable and fascinating, very well written and read.

The book was wonderful, lots of interesting insights into the mind of Ted Bundy from the perspective of someone who was qualified to analyze it. The performance of the voice actor playing Ted was bad. He made Ted sound like a goof and Ted always sounded intelligent and well spoken, although a monster. The voice actor took away from a good experience of listening to someone who at least made an effort to sound somewhat like him, and thus make the book come to life.

Great insights

Narration was excellent. Well detailed. I haveve over a dozen TB books this is one of the best.

One of the best Bundy books written.

I respect Dr. Carlisle but sometimes found he was giving Bundy too much credit and potentiallyhad been manipulated without realizing it. The narration was not good. I found Bundys voice irritating and goofy. This took away a lot from the story. It's probably best to read it instead of listening.

Great perspective

I enjoyed the actual assessment book (1976) from Dr. Carlisle. However, in chapter forty-four of this book, he has Ted referencing Jeffrey Dahmer which is impossible since Bundy was executed in 1989 and Dahmer was arrested in 1991. Made me question the validity of other statements purportedly made by Bundy in this book.

Accuracy is questionable...
