Captivating and Fun!

Arceneaux knocks it out of the park with a fun, thoughtful, and painfully honest collection of essays that speak to matters so many can relate on from feelings of inadequacy within one’s career to the repressive ever growing student loan debt crisis, all through the lens of self-awareness with specs of southern charm!

A Story I didn’t know I Needed

I very much enjoyed his previous book but still was unsure what to expect from this book. Arceneaux’s sense of humor and wit mixed so well with the brutally honest way he spoke about his relationship to money. I loved it very much and I can already tell this is a book I’ll continue to revisit.

It’s a decent read

I was intrigued by the title of the book especially because I’m going through the same thing as a college student scared about how life is going to be stressful repaying the student loans. I liked his story in the beginning about his anxiety and stressful moment and how he overcome that pressure. I feel during the middle and end it was getting explicit with a lot of sexual contention which was unnecessary in my opinion

Love it when a book is narrated by the author

I loved that it was narrated by the author. He does a great job! Highly this book.

So proud and excited to have someone like Michael Arceneaux publishing his works. This book brought me so much joy.

Excellent Book. Very much needed in 2020.

I rarely write reviews but I had to express how much I related to this book and most of the struggles of the author. This is very much needed in the times we are currently facing. Great read.

predatory lending and student loans gotta go. Free Education for all Americans. the basic things in life shouldn't be complicated. Let people be successful and Live. more opportunities for upward mobility should be available.

Amazing

I really enjoyed Michael’s 2nd book. I have been a fan of his writing for years and have followed his career since his blog. He is so vulnerable and honest about his debt and how it affects his life. I don’t know him but I’m rooting for him!

Totally relatable!

This book was full of candid stories that were relevant to today’s time. It was refreshing and comforting hearing someone tackle the challenges that come with wanting to go to school and navigating professional goals, aspirations. This was a follow up to his first book.

Thoughtful emotional and ever timely

I love Michael Arceneanuxs wring and read all of his work. That said these essays are so very thoughtful and open about about his history and current life.
