Another Winner

Paul Boehmer continues his stellar performance in straight arrow policeman Matt Edgar's intense romance with Katie. At this point Suzanne Ferrell has joined the short list of favorite authors. Matt helps his lady love come full circle while facing her demon. And Luke Edgar is a rascal who's story I can't wait to read.

Second book in series

This book was great. I liked the first one best but i thing that is normal. Looking forward to more!!

Love Matt!

Matt and Katie were from VERY different worlds. Very different in almost every way. One night their paths cross when he is patrolling and she fell asleep at the wheel. He was immediately taken with her, couldn't shake her. Then, they cross paths again. This time he can see she needs help and is scared but won't let him in. She is running and has been for years, in witness protection. But now someone is trying to kill her, so she has no one to turn too. So she lets Matt be her hero. She isn't so willing to trust easily so there is a lot of push and pull and very bad frustrating decisions. In the end they get their HEA. Lots of action, mystery, love and family. Narration was great!

Awesome story!

Very likable character and great storyline. Can't wait to get the next one. If you're a fan of mystery and suspense with a little grit it's the story for you. Narrator did a great job as well. I don't want to ruin it for you by giving anything away so I'll stop here.

An Enjoyable Read

I Really enjoyed this book . The interaction of the characters was great. The manipulation of a cult master made my skin crawl. I also enjoyed how they met. The narrator was exceptional.

Ok… story could have had SOOO MUCH MIRE!

I am not a writer of any kind, but my mind was reeling with ideas, and how much further this book could have gone, how many more books could have come out of the story. The base of the story was OK, but lacking in so many areas..

No where to hide

After a tragic event in his teenage years, Matt Edgers has become a straight laced, by the book highway patrolman. and vowed never to let breaking the rules hurt someone he cares again. Then he meets Katie.
Katie endured many hardships in her life. After a degrading and burtal punishment, she found the courage to escape from a maniacal stepfather and cult leader with enough evidence to put his main followers in prison and him on death row.
Now 10 years later and only days before his execution, Katie stepfather is out to kill her in one a grand display of his supposed power. The only way his plan can be stopped and for her to survive is to put her trust in an arrogant straight arrow patrolman named Edgers. But if he doesn't stop playing by the rules he could get them both killed.

Life leaves scars.

Growing up in a cult can leave you damaged, but Katie has luckily found patrolman Matt Edgars, and for the first time she can really rely on someone. If they live, Katy and Matt can prevent a terrible tragedy.
