Resumen del Editor

If you want to learn the top 11 problems people face when they start clicker training and how to solve those issues, then keep reading....

Clicker training is a great method to communicate with your furry friend. Furthermore, it is a way to tell your dog he tried something that worked.

Right from the start, you need to get things right and understand that a click is not a reward, and it is not a command. It is just a sign that a reward is coming and that to get another one, the previous action must be repeated.

When done correctly, training your dog with a clicker is a piece of cake, but when you don’t fully understand how to use this tool, you can really make things worse.

The good news is, it doesn’t matter if you are just a beginner or you just brought a puppy at home, and you don’t really know where to start.

When you have the right information, you can get on the right track and improve things right away.

That’s exactly why this book exists.

Here you will discover:

  • If a clicker is just a marker, why not just say “yes,” or “good boy/good girl”?
  • Two tools that can really make your life a lot easier.
  • Why you should pay attention to what type of treats you are using and which kind of treats are the best.
  • The reason why I think there is no such thing as fading out rewards completely.
  • Why some trainers don’t like using a clicker.
  • The perfect age to start clicker training.
  • Why these kinds of training sessions are way better than the rest, and how many sessions per day?
  • Why it is not too late to start teaching your furry friend new tricks.

And much, much more.

If you believe you can’t apply this information because you are not a dog trainer or you are just a beginner, you couldn’t be more wrong. This book is created exactly for you to see the most common 11 problems normal people (without dog training skills) face, how you can avoid them, and how to do this the right way.

Did The Dog Write This Book?!?

Four stars because the info is helpful.

But man, this is a poorly written and produced book. The narrator literally reads out every long complex web address one letter at a time, starting with the "https://www..." it's painful and so unnecessary. There are multiple ways to correct unwieldy URLs, or they could just include a PDF like most audio books do.

Then there is the copy editing. Or lack thereof. It honestly sounds like the dog is narrating this book.

"Don't forget not to skip a treat"

"teaching your puppy between right and wrong"

"They don't know what to apply what we learned in this chapter"

I was able to stick with the book and get the info I needed, but many would be too irritated or confused at the literally DOZENS of errors. It really undermines the author's credibility.

But yes, I still give it four stars because the info is solid and there aren't many options. Someone please write a better clicker training book than this. It won't be hard.

Somewhat helpful

I found some of the information in this little book helpful, like how to get started and when to click/reward. However, I've never heard a book that starts with the narration reading the table of contents. Also, I feel like a fair amount of the information in this book was repetitive and/or common sense (although common sense seems to be less and less "common" these days. All-in-all I do not regret my $4.00 purchase nor the hour of listening time.
