Some good advice

This book presents good basic communication skills for beginners. It is engaging and accessible. experienced business people will find nothing new but a refresher never hurts. The anecdotes help reinforce the basic principles and there is an effort to make the techniques memorable, likening a method for delivering constructive criticism to a hamburger. a helpful guide for business beginners.

A must read (or listen)

I often keep quiet rather than engage in conversation. Social anxiety can really handicap a person, even when you’re around those you know. This book offers insight, tips and tricks to get you going and covers things like active listening and open ended questions to keep conversation flowing. I’ve started using some the tips and while I still struggle, conversation is just a little bit easier.

Just a wonderful book

This is not your usual learning the way to make conversation book. The author writes simply and is extremely encouraging. I now have a far better understanding of conversational skills and am putting to use what I learned here.

Generic and a bit short

I like the content but it’s just a bit short and general info, I have heard before. Good story telling though!

eh would not listen to again

narration along with writing style is kind of weird. almost like a programed robot is talking to you. I think the writing is kind of forced, and not a natural writer. that mixed with someone who didn't write the book reading it makes it kind of odd and boring to listen to. I also think it had a lot of filler that comes off as common sense ideas. However if you're truly terrible at communicating I believe the book could give you some valuable information.
