Everybody should read

This book is great for people that are looking for ever lasting relationship and people who are coming out of break ups

Honest and right to the point

This book saved my marriage. I was bored with my marriage and was thinking of possibly having an affair and divorcing my husband. I felt so guilty and I was looking for some answers, which is how I found this book. After listening to this book and hearing the cut and dry advice from Dr. Livingston, I took responsiblity for the damage I had done during the years of my marriage and decided to make necessary changes. I realized that my own character flaws were responsible for most of my problems. It opened up honest communication between me and my husband and we're working towards saving our marriage. I believe we can definitely find the "better" after the "worse" if we work at it. I feel this way because of the shift I made in my thinking and my actions after listening to this book. This book is only for people who are willing to be honest with themselves.

Super- So helpful

Great information, insights and advice for many areas of our lives. This should be required reading for all. If it was, I think we'd have less problems within and among ourselves and others. Perfect narrator for this book. I'm grateful to have listened to it and will again- and again.

Personal favorite for years

This is one of the few books I actually re-read. I own it on Kindle, Audible, and always have several hard copies on my bookshelf (extras to give to people who are interested). Initially I reread it as a reminder when I’ve met a person (friend or boyfriend) exhibiting toxic qualities. Each time I read it I take in something new - perhaps I wasn’t ready or able to digest whichever part of the book previously. This book is well written, concise, and easy to understand. Many “self-help” categorized books are not written by professionals and being a professional does not go hand in hand with being a good writer. It’s important to pick wisely with this genre of books but I hope you will consider giving this book a chance.

Verbose

Frequently off topic whining about hobby horses that don't coincide with his own world view. I have been patient so far but, Dude! get to the point. You know, the one we bought the book for: How to recognize choose and be good life partners. I am going to stick it out and make notes in hopes he isn't wasting my time.
