A millennial gave me advice?

I liked this audiobook and will likely listen to it again. Lilly combines pearls of wisdom from her personal perspective with energy and heart.

For the first few chapters I thought the advice was pretty naive. Someone who is young with no commitments is in a different place in life and of COURSE has the energy to work 16 hour days to make life dreams come true. But there is more to the story so give it a chance.

You won't find "top 10 tips for instant success" in this book. You may be inspired, you may simply be entertained. You may consider this more of a biography of a successful person. And that's ok too.

I let my brother borrow my physical copy of How To Be a Bawse. Giving him this book is my way to combat the sexist, racist, facist garbage he's exposed to at school and through media every day. I want him to be influenced by this brilliant woman of color, who teaches the importance of hard work, kindness, positivity, and how to succeed in life - all while being a good human being.

This book is my everything

I loved it , it help me deal with things in my life that i thought it couldn't happen. i never thought that this book would challenge me , love myself a little bit more, made me laugh and i can relate to this book like in another level .

things we might of heard but never really applied

I am in love with this book. It has helped me keep my mind straight I continue to focus on things that are important. One of my favorite things that she said "devote your time to what has earned it, rather than waste it with things that haven't." (not word for word but you get the jist). Again, I love this book. I hope you do too.

Overall, it's an excellent book. It's refreshing and inspirational. Lilly's sense of humor makes the book even more great. It is a very easy and enjoyable audiobook. I am definitely investing in a hard copy! It will be worth every penny.

just as amazing as expected

I bought both the audio and text versions of the book. Lilly is an amazing performer and delivered what I was expecting. I enjoyed this look at Lilly as a person as well as a performer. there are good lessons and very clear insights. I found it relatable and enjoyable.
