When Cate comes home to a ransacked apartment, she realizes Kellen knows more than he's saying. Problem is, he's turning up the heat in her life - in more ways than one.

Soon Cate finds herself in deep trouble with mysterious stalkers, a lovesick would-be boyfriend named Patrick Pugg, two friends who are looking for love, and the very sexy, possibly dangerous Kellen McBride. The south side of Boston has never been wilder.

Good quirky fluff and a great big dog

I really enjoyed this book. Quirky characters and a decent plot but not heavy. Just a fun romp.

Light fluff reading with joyful and silly characters and a decent storyline. Had me laughing out loud several times.

What did you love best about Hot Stuff?

I liked the story line and the characters. Funny, serious, hysterical, moving and again funny story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hot Stuff?

When the dog ate the underwear.

What about Lorelei King’s performance did you like?

I keep saying the same thing when asked this question. Lorelei is a very good reader. She makes you believe the characters. Only in two other series books did I not care for the way a character was portrayed, and that too was eventually changed and the new version is great. She's good at what she does.

Classic Evanovich

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Time well spent yes! Its like a mini-book!

What other book might you compare Hot Stuff to and why?

Its classic Evanovich, similar to her other reads. The characters and story line seemed a bit watered down though.

Which scene was your favorite?

Absolutely nothing jumps to mind. Good, fast read but nothing that will make me remember it and laugh later.

Was Hot Stuff worth the listening time?

Listening time was very short, so sure.

Any additional comments?

Love Evanovich, but she is pricey. Watch for her books on sell, they tend to be relatively short books with a full book price.

Great Read

I enjoyed this a lot. It was funny and had a sweet couple and an interesting plot. I needed something like this to counter some extra stress.

Another great book by Janet Evanovich! Lorelei does such a great job of bringing the characters to life!

Hot Stuff

Absolutely loved this audio, and I’m so glad that Kate and Ken are going to get married. And I am so glad that Ken, Julie and Pug found Kate when she was kidnapped and locked away in that room. That was very frightening, I was very concerned. But, it all worked out for the best, and she is going to marry the man of her dreams. I absolutely love this audio, Hot Stuff. Next audio, The Rocky Road to Romance.

Narrator

I listen to all the Steven Plum books so am very familiar with Lorelie King voices. I really like the story but couldn't get to into the characters because all I could picture was Stephanie and Moraley. I wished the characters had more of a Boston accent since that's were they where they live .

This Story Has It All

First, I am upset at all of my friends who read that did not tell me about this author. Second, I love love loved this book. This title contained everything and more. It has murder, suspense, mystery, humor, and some sex. I laughed out loud at Pug, especially when he talked about himself in the 3rd person. Marty was a hoot. I envisioned a semi big guy dressed as a woman performing in a bar with a white dress, red glittery lipstick, platinum blonde wig and a feather boa. I enjoyed every character, even the dog, which was a big baby, but when he ripped off her Chanel bag, I silently cheered, *Good Doggie". I can't wait to check out the other titles by this author.

The characters were okay but the story was predictable.

I'm a fan of Evanovich but not so much of Banks, sorry.
