Terrible narration
The narration is often detached, sometimes whispered, sometimes sing song, and nearly always annoying. It’s a shame, because this is a classic Hornblower story that deserved better.

Hornblower to the Mediterranean
Forester truly was a masterful author! The storyline, plot, and detail, are fantastically woven into a tale of simultaneous triumphs and defeats. Coster is less preferred than Rodska in narrating, but the story is so captivating, that one overlooks this factor overtime.

Really hard to listen to.
I can’t recommend any of the books read by Nicolas Coster. Even sped up it’s incredibly slow, lispy, raspy, & at time difficult to hear & understand.
