It was still worth it. If you absolutely love Johnnyswim, this audiobook will not disappoint. It’s Abner and Amanda in all their glory. I only discovered them through an Anthony Ramos song…then dove in head first in their music, podcasts, YouTube channel, Live From the Backyard, Magnolia show and now this book. They are incredible songwriters and musicians. I am attending my first JS show in October. Am I excited? It me. I am convinced the Johnnyswim name meaning will be auctioned to the highest bidder someday just like Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain” lover. Abner and Amanda, call me. I promise not to tell! 💕

I could not put it down!!! I listened non-stop!
Abner and Amanda tell a beautiful story of their life and their relentless pursuit of their purpose while simultaneously building community on and off the road. Stunningly written and breaktakingly honest.

I laughed, I cried, I LOVED IT!

I love Abner and Amanda and how they live their lives so authentically and creatively! They are an inspiration, a beam of joy and breath of fresh air! Loved learning about their stories more, they wrote poetically, profoundly and yet very playfully as well! I loved the audible version so much I purchased a hard copy to support them and to have a little piece of who they are and all they stand for in my home, on my coffee table!

This book only confirmed that, their creativity, sense of community and the way they can laugh at themselves makes this book a MUST HAVE as a fan, or lover of not just music but the true artist behind the music. Best Book Ever

I Laughed, I cried, I jotted down quick recipes for mojitos, grilled kale, and roasted chicken. I never knew I could be rick rolled through an audio book because the origin story of how JOHNNYSWIM got their name it still unknown. But other than that this is a great listen. Thank you Amanda and Abner for sharing the journey so far and I'm excited to see what's down the road.

Chef's Kiss!!!

This book was a wonderful heartfelt read. I thought I loved them before. Now, I love Johnnyswim sooooo much more!! This book allows you to experience the love and community that they have around them. They love that they have for one another. It allowed me to reflect on my life and my faith. I have to see them live now, that's all there is to it!!! Thank Abner and Amanda for bringing us into the fold once again.

How could you not love this book?

I'm absolutely obsessed with JOHNNYSWIM and will love anything and everything they come out with. They can do no wrong in my eyes. If you're a fan, please read this awesome book.
