But there are worse things than death, than sickness and decay…and it comes upon leathery black wings.

The Bone Fields was the standout story for me

So I went into this book blind and didn’t realize there were separate stories! I was trying to connect the dots only to realize they won’t be connected. Oops!

I enjoyed The Bone Fields story the most, but even then, it was just ok. I think I didn’t get attached to the characters enough. I liked the settings, and the concepts were interesting enough, but I didn’t get scared or really interested due to lack of character development, and for that I give it fairly low rating overall. For the author: keep writing! You have good imagery and the adventures are spooky, just work on getting the reader invested way more into the characters.

Wish it was longer

I hoped the whole book was the first story, but it’s a collection of stories. They are ALL fantastic stories, the last one didn’t fit the other themes of the ones before it but it was still good.

Beautiful imagery and incredible performances.

Definitely an interesting take on classic mythologies. The stories are vivid and violent but overall fascinating.

Quite a mix.

Not every one was a home run for me but on the whole I enjoyed the curveballs I was thrown. Worth your time.

Audio is immaculate book is weird

This collection of stories is weird lol I liked it well enough it but it was 3/5 for sure
