Loved this book!

Story kept me entranced. Tim Campbell narration was the best. I could listen to this book repeatedly. My favorite.

Slow at
Times and very similar to previous book in this series! Too short as well.

A Great Follow-up to "OUTLAW KING"

This book has everything I look for in a book! Every chapter has intrigue, suspense, attraction, growing affection and trust, misunderstandings, interference by others and hurt feelings. Then there are the captures of both Angus and lillieanna and others by enemies wars breaking out. While I am familiar with the history of Robert The Bruce, I never knew the details of how the major wars and skirmishes came about. Julie has woven a story that makes each one seeable in the mind's eye and it is sooo very believable and tory interesting. (I boughtt another history book focusing on this bitter time in the war between England and Scotland). With England's cruel King Edward I (also/ known as Longshanks) ruling England and trying his best to destroy the Scots and take away all memory of their heritage, and Scotland without a strong leader in line to inherit the throne of Scotland, war was almost inevitable.

I believe you will enjoy this book as much as i have. It is one I will return to often.Tim Campbell is a wonderful narrator and really shines in this narration. Julie Johnstone has really done a wonderful job of relating history in a romance novel. I hearttily recommend this one!

Absolutely Fabulous!

Julie Johnstone writes another AMAZING tale of Medieval love and the sexy voice of Tim Campbell brings the story to life. A stubborn man, a woman afraid to love, danger, and intrigue...this story has it all. AND when you think there just might be a happily ever after Ms. Johnstone takes you on another journey making your heart stop; which only makes the Happily Ever After that much sweeter.

Oh My Goodness!

Such a good book. I need more. The treachery of family members and enemies is unreal. I can't wait for the next instalment.

Loved it !! this story. the narrator is so fantastic it's like your really there!! After listening to this story,. I totally enjoyed reading this book. It’s well written and the characters were uniquely fantastic. I would suggest this book to my friends that like this sort of genera. this was a good book. The narrator was great.

Angus and Julianna

Really cute story of how a stubborn man and a hardheaded woman learn to deal with their pride, the effect of words on a relationship, trust, and true loyalty and love. Excellent read and great book 2 in the series. Complex characters and unpredictable plot. Love it, as always with Julie's books! Tim Campbell did a magnificent job (5 Stars) as narrator. I love listening to his amazing ability to breath life into my mental pictures of the characters!

Good read

This was an exciting, action packed story. There was plenty of intrigue, betrayal, romance, and a hint of magic. I love Tim Campbell’s portrayal of each character. I could listen to him all day!

Better than first book

I enjoyed book two more than book one. I believe it’s because in this book the focus was more on the love story vs. the political intrigue of the times. With that said, I recommend both. On to book 3 in the series.
