Caught me quickly

Was able to relate to the fl's personality. narrators were fantastic! kept me interested the whole time.

Finally THEIR story

The series begins at Carly and Desmon’s wedding in Rock Hard Gargoyle. This is their meet cute/how they got to their HEA story. Troy Duran’s dragon voice is hilarious and adorable. I could almost picture the grumpy cinnamon roll dragon in my head and wanted to snoot boop (but I’d have probably been turned to ashes for my trouble).

This needs a content warning - there is a violent death of a character’s child that is played back in memory. While not fully described, enough is mentioned to give the listener/reader a very good idea of what happened. The death isn’t part of the story, but rather a memory that is “replayed”. It’s a character’s past that directly affects part of the story.

Here Be Dragons

This is a very well-narrated book and the narrator pulls the listener in. I enjoyed listening to one of my favorite author's story by this narrator.
This Book 7 in The Possessive Monsters Book Series has an entertaining paranormal romance story, a well-crafted world, and intriguing characters. These Characters have unique personalities, interesting histories and believable interactions. This story has action, adventure, twists, turns, betrayal, wagers, contest, kidnappings, chemistry, fated mates and love. This is a must read story.

A Fun Adventure With Spice 🌶️

I really enjoyed this story. I'd say it was a mostly light-hearted story with very little angst. I appreciated that since this was a pallete cleanser for me. I read books from this author under a different name and loved those, and this also didn't disappoint. It's a pretty quick listen but the story didn't feel unfinished. I do get a little annoyed when characters only get part of a story and then make assumptions but thankfully that didn't last too long and the character in question reviewed their actions pretty soon after which was a nice turn around. The FMC and MMC are strong characters in their own rights. They each commanded their space in the story which made for a balanced narrative. I loved the narrators. They did a wonderful job. I've heard Troy Duran narrate other books and he always breathes life into the characters. Also, his voice has that rumbly quality that really gives goosebumps during those hot scenes. I'd say the level of spice was about 2.5/5. It's a cute love story and I now need to go back and look at the previous books ❤️

Carly and Desmon

Finally the story of Carly and Desmon.
Their story is cute, hot (there is a dragon so duh), fun but also with some adventure, sadness and angst. There is lots of humor and laugh out loud moments. I loved both main characters, the other characters are great and fun, except for the evil one of course!

Both narrators did an excellent job to bring this story to life. Michelle was great, Troy is always a pleasure to listen to.

As expected from this author, the story is very well written and entertaining! I absolutely recommend reading and/or listening her books.
Looking forward to the next in this series!!

Loved It

I loved this book when I first read it last year (original ebook review below) and was excited to get my hands on the audiobook. Troy Duran and Michelle Sparks did a great job bringing these characters to life. I've listened to Troy narrate several books, and especially love his alpha Tallean males, so I knew he'd be great for dragon Desmon. This was my first time listening to Michelle and I thought she did a great job with Carly.

Overall: 5 stars

Original Ebook Review 10/13/24-

I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I liked that non-humans were out and about in society. I also liked that, though human, Carly had a magical talent of getting visions and sounds from objects she touched. I loved both Carly and Desmon. The first meeting was embarrassing! But amusing for me. Desmon was very smitten, and Carly was struck mute on more than one occasion. Desmon's dragon was fun and I wished he was more vocal. This book turned out to be quite the exciting adventure. A very fun, fast-paced read. 5 stars.

Hot Coffee for the Win

I loved it! Carly was such a joy to read about. She was a curvy women who accepted herself and kept it moving. Only her pet bunny knew how she felt when others weren’t around. Spilling coffee on her hot new boss was the best accident she ever had! Desmond was a real dragon with baggage and Carly helped him unpack that baggage. And having Troy narrate was the icing on the cake!

Fast paced puzzle adventure with romance

Another great book from this author. Humor and romance like always but with a fun twist of a puzzle that is both absolutely neccessary to solve but also dangerous.

Relaxing, Fun, and Full of Fire

This audiobook was fun from start to finish. Michelle Sparks and Troy Duran deliver a well-paced, engaging performance—as always, they’re a pleasure to listen to.

The story is a great blend of humor, action, and romance, with just the right amount of heat. Carly and Desmon are both easy to like, and their connection was fun to follow without getting overly complicated or dramatic.

There’s also some world-building around dragon shifters, their long lives, and how they relate to the world around them. It adds depth to an otherwise playful, steamy, and thoroughly entertaining story. A fun, easy listen I’d happily return to.
