Red Vesuvio

I loved it! From start to finish, utter perfection! The author really carved out her own space in the supernatural world. It was a new take on things you thought you knew. It wasn’t just one thing or the other, it was truly unique. I can’t wait to read more from this new to me author.
I appreciated that Anna not only was an older woman, but that’s you got to walk through her thought processes. She wasn’t throwing away everything she had worked for, she was choosing to apply her talents in a new way. She was stepping into her own with honesty and openness. She logical. She calculated every variable. She gave herself space to think through all the evidence and all of the options without compromising herself. The support system she had with Jeff & Michael was heart warming to see as well.
Marco was on a similar journey without even knowing it. He had to learn to be upfront with himself about his environment. He needed to let others in and reestablish responsibility & boundary lines.
Anna & Marco fit together so naturally. It was the perfect time in their lives to make those commitments. There was no judgment. There was camaraderie and understanding. They were on the same page even with having vastly different experiences. There was empathy and feeling. I love these two together and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
If you are an audio fan, snatch this one up! These were new to me narrators that I will definitely be looking for more of. The inflection, breath control, and accents were superb. You felt like you were at the table listening to everyone talk around you. You were immersed and couldn’t stop listening once you stated.
I hope in future books we get to check back in with all of these characters. I’m absolutely frothing for Siobhán & Luca story! I can’t wait to see more from the Irish Queen.

Finding a new path leads to a whole new world

This story was good. The FMC having her midlife crisis though she wouldn’t call it that enters into a world she never expected. Anna is good with numbers and her friend connects her with Marco to find a mole. Never did she expect to find what she did! The burning chemistry between was undeniable. It was amazing watching these two working together to solve the issue as well as fall for each other. Throughout their story there was a bigger battle happening and Anna got stuck in the cross hairs. Marco had to do the unthinkable to family and its setting up the next book well. This story held me captive and I loved the way Anna came out of her shell and became the person she always strived to be. It was Amazing to watch her break through Marco’s walls and him experience something he never planned to!
