That f***ing Flowers!

Virgil Flowers is out doing what he does best - solving tough crimes. Sandford and Conger have teamed up again to produce a thrilling read. Highly recommended.

FALLS FLAT IN THE END

I loved the book all the way to the last 4 chapters. Then it read like Cliff's Notes. I felt that John needed to finish it in a hurry.
Too bad, since he is one of my favorite authors.

Nail biting

I started listening to the book, but ended up buying the paperback version and read it cover to cover in three days! I love how the story has so many different possible outcomes and you are left with guessing until the last couple of chapters of suspenseful chases.

Virgil's descriptive view of the beauty of the female body.

Good but predictable.

I always enjoy Sanford despite his politics and obvious manner in which they are displayed. If only the federal agents were half as honest and intelligent as the locals. What total tripe. Still, I liked the book and I'm on to the next in the series.

Another John Sandford Thriller

The intricate story and down to earth, sometimes misfit characters are purely entertaining. Sandford can spin some good ones. Always entertaining.

What audio books should be

Very satisfiying--straight ahead clever plotting, spare prose, wonderful dialogue, and narration that made this book come alive. I've read or listened to Sandford's other Virgil Flowers novels and highly recommend this work for those of you who enjoy mystery thrillers.

Great page turner

I’m a big fan of the Lucas Davenport series, but less familiar with the Virgil Flowers. This tale has made me a believer! Well developed plot and characters. I recommend!

Was not sure if this second book would be as good as the first, it was. in fact might have even been better... on to the third.
