Hawaii Rage

what a great look into the paniolo life. the detail and imagination of the author made this story tangible. you can really see these characters and their behavior towards tradition, Aina and outsiders.
the main character Makalani is great! the traits of intuition and training bring her alive and make you want to see what happens next.
all the history and extra explanation provided by the author gives you a deeper look into culture and family pilika (troubles) brings this book home for me.

Enjoying the continuing adventures

I like to try to solve the mystery but so many twists and turns I am always wrong which I love! Keeps me interested!

I love this book.

Besides the fact that I had a great education in Hawaiian language and culture, the story was fantastic. I was intrigued about how it would conclude throughout. The characters are all unique and distinct, and I'm tho invested in Makalani Pahakula an exciting superhero sleuth! I'll be there for each and every future book. Well done!!

As I listened, I felt immersed in the place and deeply connected to its people. The experience left me eager to return to Hawai’i, this time with a newfound appreciation and purpose.

Incorporates Hawai’ian Culture

I liked how the author embedded Hawaiian culture into her story. My only negative comment is that sometimes the descriptions got a little wordy.
