The effect of that look lingered, like an unspoken promise, long after it was gone. Becoming a couple, becoming the other half of a campus celebrity, wasn't easy.

I let down the walls guarding my heart, and he looked past my glasses and accident-prone tendencies. Romeo and I are an unlikely match, a #nerd and a jock. But we made it. And we're happy. Zach doesn't want us to be happy. He wants Romeo to pay for getting him kicked out of Omega and for the night he spent in jail. He's going to use anything and everything he can to get his revenge. Including me. As the weather on campus grows cold and the days become dark, revenge becomes the center of someone's life, and the happiness Romeo and I worked so hard for is threatened. I can't help but worry that our love is going to be overshadowed by hate.

Oh my gosh

This book is so good I’m heading towards the third one because they go from the first book goes into the second goes into the third is where I’m headed. Oh my gosh this had me on the edge of my seat.

better than the first!

This is one of the rare times when I liked the second book so much more than the first book! I love college romances and since Romeo and Rimmel were already together at the beginning of this one I didn't have to let my annoyance and disbelief of the football star horn dog magically doing a 180 and falling for the nerd ruin my feelings of the characters (I think that gave me a bad impression of Romeo in the first book). I actually completely loved Romeo in this one, it was impossible to picture him as the player he was in the first book because he was completely and utterly devoted to Rimmel! #Hater had a lot more suspense than the first book because crazy pants Zack makes his appearances but Rimmel and Romeo are a team that doesn't waver or doubt each other! There was a little annoyance at the end when Romeo charges to the rescue without calling for back up or the police but shit happens when you aren't thinking clearly! I am dying to know who the Alpha Buzz Dude is because I am loving how he knows everything right away and they even seem to support Romeo and Rimmel (its a friendly gossip girl version).

I am not sure if the narration was actually better in this one or if I was just used to Chandra Skyye at this point because I made it through without any problems! There were still times when I noticed her talking more in a robotic tone (especially for the mom) but it didn't phase me as much.

Love this series.

Romeo and Remmil are great characters. Their love for each other is so strong. It makes for a great read. Don’t miss reading this series. The secondary characters are great too.

Love the series!

Some of the football talk isn't very realistic, but it am in love with the relationship part. The sex scenes are definitely rated "R".

Would you consider the audio edition of #Hater to be better than the print version?

I still am not a fan of the female narrators voice especially when she does romeos voice it's to breath and lazy almost like a California surfer dude doesn't match the amazing voice that the male narrator does

Yes definitely!! This series is awesome! I love Romeo and his Nerd!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Romeo!!!!! He is so loyal and dedicated and such a great guy! I wish I had this type of guy in high school.

Which scene was your favorite?

Anytime Romeo is protective of his Nerd!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It just made me swoon!!!

I can't wait for book 3 on audio!

Would you consider the audio edition of #Hater to be better than the print version?

Probably. The narrators, especially Eric, add a layer of depth to the story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Romeo. I like his development and that he's Alpha without being too controlling. There's nothing about their relationship that feels toxic or worrisome (unlike some of the adult romance books that featuring controlling Alpha males). Though, I do appreciate Rimmel's character development, too.

Romeo.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yup. I've listened to it more than once since it came out.

Why 3 stars on the story?

I will not give any spoilers so my comments are intentionally vague.

2 major issues.
1. Rimmel gets angry about something that anyone with common sense would immediately do; and
2. Rimmel, a 4.0 student cannot put 2 + 2 together towards the end of the story regarding a mysterious event. I found myself practically banging my head into my steering wheel.

The storyline itself is good and the characters come to life as they did in the first book. Listening to the next book now.

Great continuation

I really love that it picks up right where we left off and we get to know a little more about all the great characters a little more. There is a bit of a cliffhanger but good news the rest of the series is already out so you don't have to wait long!
