Better in comic book form?
Yeah, I got bored listening to the first 2 hours and stopped. I can’t tell if it’s the voice actors, or maybe the narration was overly expository, but this felt like it was meant for tweens. Very simplistic and young.

Give this a chance! Don’t listen to naysayers!
I listen to a couple of books a year (200+) and this was one of my favorites. A glorious atmospheric southern gothic story. I found the performances exquisite and tremendously nuanced. It is a beautiful way to spend a few hours.
