finding themselves

Loved these two together. Their pull to each other was front and center from the start, they both just needed to find themselves first. Ava and Christian were perfect narrators and I especially loved when he spoke in his teammates voices!

It's not just baseball!

I really enjoyed this book. Honestly, I'm not typically drawn to read sports romances. But most of the time when I do, I enjoy them. This was a nice read, not a ton of angst other than should we be together and let's hide??? But I really loved the characters, and you can't go wrong with Lisa Renee Jones writing! Narraters were spot on. New to Ava, but love Christian Fox!!!! Thank you!

Baseball, reporters, love and more

Love the story! Ava and Christian did a great job narrating the story. Can't get enough of it. I love Brad and Amanda's chemistry. Their chemistry and trust makes my heart melt.

Another good story

Although it's not my favorite by Lisa, I did enjoy the story!! Not sure the audio was quite right as it sounded off to me. Loved getting to know the characters. Lisa did great setting some characters up for follow up books. Overall, I'd recommend :-)

Quick Hot Baseball Romance

Sexy pitcher becomes involved with a pretty female reporter. The dialogue is crisp, the scenarios believable enough, and the romance is sexy but not over the top. The heroine had a sports injury which makes her sympathetic and relatable but would have also been realistic to have had her say that her times just weren’t fast enough and she could not push it more because of her injury. Ava Erickson is a very good narrator but it was interesting that while the other Texas natives had accents (including Brad, Curt, and her sister Kelly and her Dad, her character of Amanda had no accent. Also as a former competitive swimmer, the chances are mor likely she would be swimming in a 1 piece, even a high cut sexy one than a bikini for ease of movement in the water. That aside, this story was a fairly simple, sweet, and sexy romance, very easy to listen to- a light read, predictable but pleasant with a happy ending. A good Kindle/audible combination.

Amanda and Brad’s story of coming together and getting together is told in a dual POV... which I love! Amanda is new to paper covering sports reporting. She is working hard in a man world to make her name stick. I really adore her character and her integrity. Brad is falling hopelessly in love while hiding his injury.


Christian Fox and Ava Erickson’s narration of the story was smooth and they were a perfect choice as they made it sexier.

Lisa Renee Jones’ books never disappoint.
The chemistry that Amanda and Brad have can be felt through the words of this book. From the witty banter between all the characters to the full circle of the love story, this book will have you laughing and swooning.

Hard and Fast by Lisa Renee Jones was exactly how Brad and Amanda’s flirtatious relationship was, Hard and Fast. This was a hot and steamy Insta-love and angst free sport story.

Amanda Wright is this beautiful female reporter trying to catch the next big Story, but instead is caught by the all star pitcher Brad Rogers.
They are both instantly drawn to each other, but have no time for a Relationships because they are to focus on their careers, but seem to forget this every time they are around each other because of their amazing connection.

In my opinion the story was a little rush and I didn’t really get to connect with both of the Characters. Their chemistry was just meh but again I think this was because the author rushed this story and didn’t give her readers any character development.

To be honest I picked this book up because of who was narrating the audiobook… Christian Fox and Ave Erickson which are both in my top 10 favorite narrators that I could listens too all day. 5 stars go to both of them for there performance.
