Recognizing how common it is for crafters to start many projects and finish few, a group of women join together to form a guild - Unfinished Projects Anonymous - to keep each other on track and accountable. Three friends are tasked with the job of home visits for their guild. They are laughingly called the Cartel as they do visits to snoop around craft rooms and knitting baskets to report on progress for the members. The guild has even expanded to checking on half-trained dogs and half-weeded gardens. Over the course of the story, this ensemble of women discover that much of life is half-finished - relationships, the raising of children, even our very relationship with the Lord - and that may be perfectly fine.

Good story and characters, but...

Don't want to spoil the plot. I'll just say that it dwelled too long on certain story lines making the book too sad and depressing. Agree with other reviewers that it was too long and drawn out. I don't need to know every little detail of people going through their everyday rituals, too boring.

Crafting and Growing

I already enjoy this author for her clean and inspirational stories. Add crafting to that and it is even better! I cried and laughed out loud during this book. I too have unfinished crafting projects and I am unfinished. If you enjoy a good story of life, overcoming obstacles and finding the good in rough moments this is a good book even if you don't craft. But crafting makes it even better.

Half finished

What a wonderful story !! I just love to be immersed into a book as if I was one of the characters , in the inside looking out !! Lovely , spiritual packed, full of kindness ,not and love for one another !!

Loved the concept of the story but…

I, like many characters in the book have many UFOs. That’s what got me to purchase it. However, had I been aware that there were so many religious references and prayers I would have passed on it. I have nothing against religion (before someone rips my head off for the comment) I just don’t think the story needed so many religious quotes and prayers. And as another review noted it did get dragged out and depressing in parts. Just my opinion.

I expected to like this story

Assumed that I would like this story since I have loved all the rest I have gotten from this author, but I couldn’t get into it. Way too slow moving and boring. Finally gave up on it.
