IRS agent turned PI Mortimer Angel is relaxing in a hole-in-the-wall bar in a Reno casino when an attractive young girl hires him to find out who left her a cryptic message demanding a million dollars.

At the girl’s house, Mort finds the body of missing rapper Jonnie Xenon - Jo-X to his legions of fans - hanging from the rafters with two bullet holes in him. Holy moly. I'm dizzy from all the catch-up details at the end. whew!!! Suspenseful and action packed. Lucy worked my last nerve for awhile, and then I got used to her. She was kinda unique and not in a positive way. I don't know how Mort could stand her 24/7, but I guess being a man had a lot to do with his tolerance levels being higher than mine. Good story. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life.

I could have choked Lucy many times over!!!
