Jussi Adler-Olsen was born in Copenhagen and worked as a magazine editor and publisher before starting to write fiction. Mercy and Disgrace are the first two in currently four novels in the Department Q series. Lacked the Usual OOMP

Not sure what didn't work on this book--reader? plot? I love Jussi-Olsen series and the fine characters....but this one --well, it was disappointing. I hope next is better.

I'm really enjoying this series. Unusual characters, humour and mystery - what more could you ask for.

Lazy detective and his funny devoted team

Again, don’t expect any brilliant detective work nor thrilling story. It is just probe into guilty party mind. Similar to the previous installment. I am not sure whether to continue with this series.

Skip this one

I have so been enjoying Department Q, the third one (ie the one prior to this) being a particular cracker of a story. This story is an absolute derivative mess and could not be saved by Steven Pacey's always impeccable narration.
