Entertaining But Flowery for Horror Genre Novel

I like Cheryl Bradshaw's books overall but this one was a bit of a let down. Addison Lockhart inherits a manor after her mother's untimely death. Neither one of her parents have ever mentioned it so its surround in mystery and questions. As everything unfolds you cover supernatural powers, a haunted manor, a "who done it" decades old murder, a new romance and healing for a dysfunctional family with decades of hurt and secrets. The unveiling of the supernatural powers and what they entail is what is a bit flowery for me. As well as the final "feel good" resolution at the end.

Narration was good and the story overall was entertaining just doesn't belong in the Horror Genre...more to do with not scary paranormal/supernatural occurrences.

Good Story, Horrible Narrator

What made the experience of listening to Grayson Manor Haunting the most enjoyable?

Learning how the story was going to end. But the narrator was horrible.

Probably the last third of the book was the highlight.

Would you be willing to try another one of Nikki Devitt’s performances?

No. She ruined the book for me. Her character voice of Luke was terrible!!

loved it . it kept me interested and that is a hard thing to do

Ghost story light, but still entertaining

This was sort of an easygoing ghost story, kind of like the Good Witch meets Haunted Mansion, but I liked it and found it entertaining and a good distraction. The one complaint I have is the narration, which can make or break an audible story for me. She did "okay" (noy great) with most of the voices, but when she did the men, it was painful. She made them all sound like Betsy Sodaro. Luke, who is supposed to be the hunky love interest, was worst of all. It was almost too painful to listen to. I'm going to give book two a try and hope it goes better, fingers crossed.
