Voz Virtual es una narración generada por computadora para audiolibros..
Max, a rather plain guy, finds himself inside a post-apocalyptic survival roleplaying videogame. He has no idea how he has ended up in the virtual reality or how to quit it. He has no choice but to play the game. Shortly afterward, he learns that the game is quite harsh and cruel. Max finds out that in order to survive he has to scavenge, gather various resources, craft warm clothes and armor, upgrade weapons and vehicles, and so on. Moreover, the entire game world is a full-on PvP zone. So Max has to not only fight brutal mutants but also protect himself against gamers who have teamed up in order to ratchet up their chances of survival as well as against high-leveled players who take great pleasure in murdering newbies. And all the while Max has been trying to find out what has befallen him, how he has gotten in the videogame, and whether or not there is any chance of exiting the game. Bit by bit he gleans more and more information about the game. He finds out that the game is full of bugs. Later on he also learns that he himself is some kind of a glitch. Unlike all the other players, he feels pain in the game and can interact with some game objects while all the other players cannot… Aventura Ciencia Ficción Postapocalíptico Juegos Supervivencia

It would’ve been better without AI voice, other then that it was a decent story

Decent story

I’ve never listened to a book that was read by AI. It wasn’t absolutely horrible, but definitely made it clear that it was a computer reading it. For example, when the book would explain the Benefits of an item, weapon or armor, (which the did at least a thousand times), it would use a > symbol in front of the benefit. So, when AI read that, it would read “greater than…” and then give the explanation. It took getting used to for sure!
The other issue with AI reading it was, why not change the voice for the different characters? It’s not like it should be that difficult!
However, the main issue I had was between books five and six. The character jumped from level 19 to level 99. Like what? You took 5 books to get to level 19!! Now you are suddenly level 99?!? It was clear that they just wanted to bed the books. The ending was VERY anticlimactic and so unexplained and the author kept using the phrase “unexpectedly” because the boss the main character was fighting would use a new move. Very irritating.
I’d say that the idea of the story was great! And other than the AI messing up so much on the words and reading our symbols (like ‘greater than’ for > and ‘dash’ for - ), making it very hard to listen to, the first five books were enjoyable enough. That last book though really ruined it. I hope the author reads this and does a better job wrapping up the story next time. The last book really felt like a story was written by an elementary student! Better luck on the next series!

Interesting story line, but what was with that ending?!?

I gave it a chance since the whole series was free.
The story for me was so boring that I could only get 3 hours into the series.
The voice actor was AI generated which wasn't really a problem

Just No.... I know it's a free book series but no..

Virtual Voice is so terrible in this one

It reads “ >” as Greater-Than. Likely this was a web novel that got stuck with an untrained AI reader. BTW, there are a ton of “Greater-Thans” as the stat reviews grinds on. Guessing the author used that as a bullet list symbol for quests, stats, and the untrained Virtual Voice does not understand.

Virtual Voice continues to the predictable -> Variable mispronunciation, syllable mistakes, choppy stat reviews, spelling out Abbreviations & symbols like dash and slash, inconsistent character name pronunciations, one character voice fits all, etc - you get it.

The story is OK. It really needs a good editor. The world mechanics are classic, post-apocalyptic survival, good progression and classes. Max Calm. Great for insomnia or background cover noise.

NOT Greater-Than
