Suddenly I find myself caught between protecting Hiro and saving the lives of those who are next on a deadly list. The killer’s mistake is that he doesn’t realize just how far Hiro and I will go, and that we’re going to end this game before the final pawn falls.

Another fun listen

I really hope there are more adventures of Hiro and Maddox (and Reggie, Natalie and Keaton, as well as Spite). This series is fun and has storylines as well as sex scenes that fit well.
It’s definitely worth buying if you’re looking for a good ghost story with hilarious (and a few nasty) ghosts.
Great narration, good voicing of the many characters.

Love it!

Love these books!! Was hoping that maybe Maddox would bottom at some point, but 🤷🏻‍♂️. Love when a masc top bottoms sometimes. Maybe next book 😁

Enjoyable listen

Not mad at this one at all. I just wish Hero would become a little less self-depreciating. He's such a great character and I hope he comes to realize that. Also, I didn't like how in the beginning M and H were so...not stupid but, they acted inexperienced. All in all, loved it and wouldn't mind another book for the series <3

good story, uneven sound

Really fun story. And Greg Boudreaux is excellent as usual. The only downside is that the sound is uneven...like the edits weren't recorded on the same settings as the main recording. Hope there is a next book in the series is coming soon. Maybe we'll learn the secret of Spite's necklace...

Another triumph

Alice and Greg do it again! If you want some humor mixed with murder and ghosts you owe yourself a listen to one of Alice’s books!

Funny and great narration by Greg

I have read the book before on my Kindle, so I already loved the book (Alice Winters is so funny!). And Greg just brings it life with his great narration. He is so smooth and animated, and he brings the dry wit to life with flair. Honestly, Greg is one of my favourite narrators and I wish more authors used him. I just started listening to another book and the difference between Greg and this other guy is jarring.

Another awesome book

Another awesome book from Alice Winters! If you enjoyed the first two, you’ll definitely love this one as well. And the narration is on point, as always expected from Greg Boudreaux.

This has become my favorite Alice Winters series! I have no idea how she was able to keep the tension Ava the story so great and getting better for three books!

Give it a chance, it could surprise you

I started this a month ago and in chapter six, I agreed with other reviewers and stopped listening. Here's the thing: I was looking so forward to a new book from Winters nothing could have stood up to my expectations, I also realized that I'd been listening almost exclusively to Winters audio books for weeks. I decided I needed a change.

Shocking what can happen when you add in a little diversity back into your life! What I did is spend the month without listening to more than a couple of the author's books--the exact opposite of what I'd done the prior month. I read and listened to a lot of other authors books, including books I've owned for years and haven't listened to or read yet. Among those, I found a whole new author that has the same quality in her writings as this book regards the MCs growing into even keel or a mature relationship, however you want to put it.

This morning I decided to listen to this book, and what a difference a month makes! I think this is probably my favorite of the three books in this series. The reasons boil down to growth of some of the characters and their relationships, though it takes its usual back steps, and this book happens to offer that elusive quality of equality within the MC MM couple--their strengths and weaknesses even out and one of them doesn't end up running the whole show. Add to that the growth of their love and support.

I love equality in relationships storytelling, and the ending (7/8ths through) is incredible, completely unexpected. There's a final twist and it's also good. This story relies heavily on that great teamwork Winters creates. Hiro even gets to seriously up his game--by a lot!

I ended up loving this book.

Not All Games Are Fun

Hiro, Maddox and the gang are pulled into a horrible game by a mysterious psychopath but it all made for an intriguing story. It was entertaining and interesting to follow along as the figured out how to solve to mystery. I also enjoyed the audiobook with great narration by Greg Boudreaux.
