An Engaging Read

Really enjoyed the tale of George’s younger years, much of it new to me. The Beatles era didn’t really unearth much that was new, although George’s spiritual awakening was excellent. I would have like to have heard more about his life between 1973 onwards but George was a famously elusive character in his later years, so I understand the paucity of confirmable information. A valuable memoir of a complicated man.

Covered most of what I was interested in though some Beatles centered interested were not addressed as thoroughly as I would have liked.

Superb! An author and narrator team at the top of their game

Superb writing can be beset by bad narrating (and vice versa). But this pairing is as exceptional as the other. By George! This one’s a banger.
