Resumen del Editor

John Mayall has played with them all: Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Jack Bruce, Mick Fleetwood, Mick Taylor, Andy Fraser, and the list goes on. Now in his 80s, John continues to tour all over the world and perform to sold-out crowds. With an incredible blues career spanning over 50 years, rightly earning him the title the "Godfather of British Blues", John shares his experiences and encounters in what will be a must-listen autobiography for any true blues fans.

Who knew

I just missed John Mayall’s music growing up. I’ve always known about him but never knew his huge influence on blues and rock history.

Wonderfully written piece, informative & entertaining.

I liked the variety & way John covers all his musical band formations, some friends, some relationships, his family (he started young) & tours.
A comprehensive Blues, Jazz & Mayall autobiography! Cheers to John for recollecting & sharing memories about your International career & beautiful homes in England & in Laurel Canyon. Descriptive writing made me feel I went there. Marvelous adventures! Thanks.

Worth The Read For Sure But A Little Bizarre

I thought it was a literary masterpiece until chapter seven. Then it was as if someone pulled the microphone away and bypassed the original speaker. As soon as he started speaking about his marriage being over after meeting someone it sounded like his IQ plummeted 40 points. Throughout the rest of the book, he sounded quite brilliant and has such a beautiful storytelling ability until he speaks of women or relationships, and then it sounds as if you are listening to someone else. As if someone overdubbed those areas or edited it very badly. He goes in tone from brilliant and literate to an imbecile. Maybe multiple people. Regardless, the storytelling is quite beautiful in most areas and he comes across as brilliant for the most part. Interesting stories to be sure. Worth the purchase and time. I found him far more fascinating as a person than as a musician or mate. He definitely has a beautiful mind that he can tap into when just being himself.
