new author and 2 great narrators!

Give me a PNR and a great storyline, and I'll fall right into that world. I love finding new authors as well, especially when they pair 2 of my favorite narrators, Ryan West and Stella Hunter.

The story focuses on Nola, who realizes she has powers as a Celestial after being attacked. She's saved by a wolf shifter, Darren, and his lycan pack. There are so many secondary characters to love and I hope they all get a story!

I really enjoyed the overall story and wishing next book I get a bit more backstory of the pack and its members!!

Great World Building

Ryan & Stella knocked it out of the park with their performances! This was a great PNR storyline that hooked me from the beginning. The characters are well-developed and the plot flows easily. I will definitely be checking out the rest of the series.

Shifter suspense

Full of action and suspense. Shifters are a favorite of mine. Add in a uniquely gifted fated mate and I'm a very happy reader. I loved the storyline and finished the book in one afternoon/evening. The narration was excellent. Both narrators are new to me, but I'll definitely look for more of their work.

While it doesn't end on a huge cliffhanger, it's very obvious that this book is part of a series. I'm all for a good series so that's right up my alley. I can't wait to dive into the rest of the series!!

I Enjoyed It

I really enjoyed this book. Good world building. I was interested in the Celestials, and Nova held my attention after having just discovered her powers, as well as the danger she is in. I also liked Darren. The two of them had such great chemistry. The story was fast-paced and had action, danger, and suspense.

This audiobook was dual narrated by Stella Hunter and Ryan West. Both are new to me narrators and I thought they did a good job bringing their respective characters to life. I especially liked Ryan's voices of the evil characters. He did them so well. I also liked that Stella narrated all the female voices and Ryan the male regardless of which character's chapter it was- which I've only rarely encountered in dual narration.

This is my first book by this author and I would read/listen to more.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Violet Taylor is both a new to me author and a new author in general. Hopefully she’ll continue to write for years to come so I can keep enjoying her work.



There were some great things about FROST AND FATE that I really liked and just few things that didn’t do it for me. 



Great Things: 

- The story was unique. I appreciated the variety of powers exhibited by the various characters. 
- Likable main characters. I preferred Nova over Darren. 

- Likable secondary characters making you want to continue with the series. I’m looking forward to Aria’s story.

- Lots of action.

- Frustrating slow burn combined with fated mates spiciness. 

- Nova shutting down Darren with a quickness when he tried to tell her what to do.



Things that didn’t do it for me:

- Although the attraction between the MCs was easily felt I didn’t buy the love feelings between them.

- The sorta love triangle subplot. It was unnecessary and wasn’t dealt with in the way I wanted. When Darren finally says “She’s mine” IMO he should have also said “I should’ve told you from the start.” or something like that. 



About the narration: 

Stella Hunter and Ryan West brought this story to life with their wonderful duet narration. I especially enjoyed West’s use of accents with certain characters. Something that I would have liked to hear more of from both of the narrators is more variation between the characters with the American accents.

Quick Listen

This audiobook was an easy and quick listen with lots of characters and great voice changes from the narrators. I personally wanted a little bit more at times from the story, but I still enjoyed it as a whole and want to finish the series.

I am excited for the rest of the series to go audio!

Well Done

This is an excellently written, interesting turn of mythology in the shifter genre. I really enjoyed the narration, but the story was so very good. Well-paced and intriguing; it flowed well and kept me interested almost instantly. I am looking forward to reading the whole series.

Spicy and Mystical

When I tell you this audiobook had me In a chokehold... I could not out it down I was working and listening!! The love between Nova and Daron ugggghhhh amazing and the suspense between everything!!! Can't wait to listen to the second book!!! And can't wait to know more about Larck!

Frost and Fate

The narrators did a really good job with the characters. I enjoyed the story and it pulled me in enough I am going to buy the series on kindle so I can finish.

Intense!

From the very first chapter of this book, this story gripped me like no other. Listening to the start was particularly intense (it’s … well… extremely violent) and this book gave me chills a-plenty. However, it had me smirking and smiling more than once, so those moments of levity evened things out. Nora and Darren had combustible chemistry together, even when they weren’t supposed to be together. The cast of secondary characters was fantastic, especially Aria!, and I can’t wait to read the rest of their stories.
