Far in the future, the Earth is surrounded by a half-mile thick layer of space junk, some of it trash, some of it giant advertising billboards, some of it space-winni vacationers. But Priest, a sexist narcotics detective for The Authority is more interested in the terrorist group whose strange new weapon took a pot shot at his city and atomized everything inside its target area--including his arm.

Priest finds himself partnered with the tough and sexy Rehna, a fellow Authority officer, and Gawyn, a brilliant little girl whose gruff attitude matches Priest's. The three of them track down the terrorists, and their weapon, while Priest looks to deliver his unique brand of justice and get compensation for not one, but two ruined Tac-suits.

Reseñas de la Crítica

"Rocket-boosted action, brilliant speculation, and the recreation of a horror out of the mythologic past, all seamlessly blend into a rollercoaster ride of suspense and adventure." (James Rollins, New York Times best-selling author of Jake Random and the Skull King's Shadow)
"With Threshold Jeremy Robinson goes pedal to the metal into very dark territory. Fast-paced, action-packed and wonderfully creepy! Highly recommended!" (Jonathan Maberry, NY Times best-selling author of Rot & Ruin)
"Jeremy Robinson is the next James Rollins" (Chris Kuzneski, NY Times best-selling author of The Secret Crown)

The story is good but far too short, there was lots of room for expansion. The wasn't enough "mystery" and clues. Where this could have been several hours of hunting, finding, and world building a lot of it is just kind of slung out there, and moved on from it.
Still good story, lots of fun. Perhaps it can be expanded into more of a novel / series later on. JR is a great author.

Good but too short

“She’s gonna shoot me- now I know I’m falling in love!”
Priest may sport a Tac-suit instead of a fedora and trenchcoat, but otherwise, he’s a 1970s private investigator in a future world. A couple of quips. Some pew-pew action. This was too short to pack anything more than a few chuckles.

This short adventure was a fun peek into what could be a whole series of novels about protagonist Priest and the terrorists, respectively. I'm ever amazed by how easily Robinson builds worlds and sucks me into their rich characters and histories. The only disappointment here was that it ended and now I want prequels about the character groups introduced here.

As usual, there was action spread across different locations and great distances, lots of bullets, an imperfect protagonist, a race against the clock, and even a brief romantic angle. This was fun.

for a brief burp of a story,i would definitely read more in the future-i hope there is a potential full size book ..well done, couldn't help but imagine the lead character as a John McClain type..smug but dependable (if not batsh*t crazy)

MORE PLEASE..

I usually like Jeremy Robinson's books but the last two I listened to, this one and "Call Sign: Knight", are far from my favorites. They seemed a bit choppy to me and I couldn't get into the stories.

Decent story...
