Love this story!

The pain and torment is evident with this one. After a lifetime of fighting his natural feelings, Trevor finally gets the chance to be himself. With the help of Gia and Jamal, he’s getting sober and falling in True love for the first time. Jamal has his heart, but can they keep each other alive long enough to enjoy their love? The narrator did an excellent job with these characters. He really brought them to life!

Heat and Jamal - finding their way

This is the fifth book in the Adrenaline series and it is tied as my favorite. It can be heard as a standalone but I recommend listening to the entire series to see how this character has developed and changed. This is Heat’s, aka Trevor’s, story and it is one of self-discovery and learning to live authentically. Heat grew up in a military family and was expected to act a certain way. As he gets older and playing bass in the band, affords him the opportunity to suppress his feelings by drinking while he struggles with his sexuality. Jamal is the new keyboardist brought into the band to replace Keys, Heat’s best friend, and he is everything that Heat needs. Will these two find their way together? Overall, this is one emotional storyline that vibrantly illustrates what Heat and Jamal go through with all of the ups and downs of a relationship. The narrator, Jonathan Tratar, does an exceptional job bringing life to these characters with this final audiobook.

loved this book and....

Normally I don't go for books with M/M but this book was so well done and I couldn't say No to trying it. So I gave it a try. This book didn't disappoint! Callie is sooo good in her writing and I love Johnathan in his Narrating.

no real female impact to the narration

For me there is something really special about a same sex romance. There are levels of intimacy that are not achieved with male/female relationships. Trevor (Heat) finds that he has been hiding his true self for way too long. When those soul deep feelings hit him hard and with no real outlet. He finds that he just can't face them. Jamal opposite of Trevor in so many ways. And at the same time have some commonality. Their differences bring light into a relationship that have so much to lose. You will have to experience all the ins and outs yourself. I suggest that you start with book one and work your way to this one. The journey will be well worth the listen. You will get to see how the characters, of Marked Loved groug, evolve and grow to something more than their story alone presents them to be.

Jonathan Tratar is back on this fifth and final installment. I have gotten use to some of his character voice over the three books that he has narrated for this series. I think what I loved most about this narration from him was that there were no real impacts of the feminine voices. there were some but not enough for me to have to completed focus on it being a priority focal point.

Such a thrilling, wonderful and fulfilling journey. I am so deeply in love with this story and these characters. In fact, I will be doing a re-read again very very soon.
