Frustrating

Okay...so this one of those books I want to throw at the wall because it was so disjointed that I had to keep reading to find out who was who, and when it was happening. Argh..if it wasn't so all over the place I really think I would have liked it, but who knows? The characters were in a suburbia hell, everyone was literally all up in each other's personal business! If it were me, I would have found some invasion of privacy law to keep these crazy people away from me. Read at your own risk and keep your blood pressure medicine close.

Great Story!

I loved this book! Catherine McKenzie is a great storyteller. this is my second read of one of her books and it hasn't dissapointed. I'm really becoming a fan.

Keeps you wondering where the story’s headed.

Books that switch back and forth in time and perspective are not my favorite, but by the end of this book I didn’t feel it was distracting. The narration was good. I liked the story line although it was a little depressing at times.

Great Story

It highlights how one mis-stepped moment in our life certainly has an affect on our future !

Fractured

A book about a writer who writes books amazing. I loved the suspense and the characters.

Was so skeptical based on some of the reviews....

I had this book in my wish list forever. I hemmed and hawed on purchasing based on some of the negative reviews. I have to say I took a leap of faith and was very glad I did. This book read like a Caroline Kepnes novel with many elements of "where is this headed?" in a good, suspenseful way and, what an excellent narration team! Surely not the typical murder and mayhem book I usually gravitate towards but definitely credit worthy.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Nope, I couldn't get into it, did't care about any of the characters, so in the end I couldn't care less about who got hurt/killed in the accident in the end.

Has Fractured turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, I love mysteries.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

I did like the different voices, they helped in distinguishing the different chapters.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, I was just surprised by all the positive reviews about this book.... I was just glad I was done with it in the end, and I would really consider myself a very easy person to entertain. I do like to give positive reviews, but I just did not care about any of the characters which is highly unlike me.

Pointless paranoia

The narration was fine except for the kids' dialogue - "Mumsy!" was awful. The entire story was a big pointless goose chase that was not intriguing in the least. Protagonist was very annoying and not believable. Not for me.

Kept me guessing

This book was well written and not easy to figure out. It kept me frustrated, upset, happy and constantly guessing.
