Disjointed

I didn't like how the author kept jumping from one story line to another. Yes, the red sweaters were a theme, but I felt that the book didn't flow well. I regretted using a credit on it.

Heart wrenching

A must read holocaust novel. Told from the perspective of the knitters who perished and those who survived.

An intricately woven story......

Haunting and disturbing, but very powerful. I've been to Berlin and read the stories on the remaining pieces of the Berlin wall, watched documentaries, seen Anne Frank's home, but this book brought a daunting reality to what happened during the holocaust on a personal level. The reason for the 4 stars was I felt I almost needed a storyboard to keep track of everyone, except the main characters, mostly because of their foreign polyonymous names. Since I mostly listened to this book in my car, having other distractions, that could be the reason. This book is a must read!!!!

unorganized

Hard to relate to characters, they never came alive. Narrator’s voice is very annoying. I am a prolific reader and this is the first time I put down a book.
