Written, mostly, from the perspectives of Cameron & Savannah, I was sucked into both their separate stories right from the start. I felt for Savannah as she navigated her troubling young years, and I found my anxiety rising while waiting to see what would happen next for Cameron.
This is not my first book by Sarah Jules, and it certainly will not be my last! She has an amazing ability to paint a world filled with characters that you love and hate and feel like you may have potentially met along life's travels. I look forward to more of her work!
amazing story & perfect twists

This is the second book I’ve read by Sarah Jules, and I didn’t even realize this was her debut release! What a crazy, twisty, and sometimes slightly plot-holey story. I kept wondering how Cameron and Savannah were connected, and when it was revealed I was like, “Oh dang.” The unhinged energy definitely kept the story flowing, though I did catch myself thinking, surely this could have been done another way—let’s research. Overall, it was a really well-done book and it pulled me out of my semi–reading slump!
Well dang

Savannah is a college student who has pretty much hit rock bottom. She's a heavy partier with horrendous roommates, into more than just alcohol, and one day an awful web page is made of her - one that has pictures of her in extremely unflattering positions. She becomes the laughing stock of the university, students snickering and pointing wherever she goes. Her dad forces her to go to therapy and to move into an apartment with a new roommate in hope that she turns her life around. But it won't be so simple to change her life for the better...
Cameron is just an average high school English teacher. He lives a pretty average life, until one day he receives a two word text from an unknown number.
Found you.
He tries to ignore it, thinking it may be some sort of prank. But they start becoming more frequent. They start naming things that a stranger wouldn't know. And then the pictures start arriving. Multiple texts of a man being tortured, a man who is a lot closer to Cameron than he could have ever imagined. On top of all the pictures, he can't help feeling like he's being watched, seeing the same man with the too wide smile randomly throughout the weeks. Who is doing this to him, and why are they putting him through all this?
This book left me wondering HOW? WHY? WHAT?? throughout the majority of the story. I don't want to go much more into it for fears of spoiling it for anyone, but the way my questions were answered had me audibly gasp.
The narrator did a fantastic job. You could really feel the dread that both characters were going through.
