Another intriguing delightful book

Great plot with twists and turns. The story kept me interested throughout. The narrator was believable and fit the character. Love this series!

A gripping story

Would you listen to Fogged Inn again? Why?

Yes. I think I rushed it a little bit as I couldn't stand the suspense and wanted to know what was going to happen and who was the killer.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fogged Inn?

I liked the fact that you couldn't figure out until the very end who the killer was. All along it had you guessing who it was.

What about Dara Rosenberg’s performance did you like?

I felt really pulled into the story. I think her performance made the suspense more intense.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It didn't make me laugh or cry but the suspense just about killed me.

Any additional comments?

I liked who all the characters intermingled during this story. I felt like I was right there next to Julia trying to solve the mystery.

Engaging from the start

This one kept me guessing! I listen while driving and exercising... good entertainment. I look forward to the next book in the series.

It was okay

This was okay. Julia lost focus of her relationship and the mystery in this book. I didn't agree with the resolution, but, I did enjoy the story. The narrator toned down her performance so that was okay as well.

Decent

Narrator is annoying. Mispronounces right and left... it's Coif (kwahf) NOT Koyf for one...too many to write... distracting...

good for light reading

some good surprises in here, but it was a little hard to follow all the different character names sometimes. overall, well written and well performed.

Oh please!

Is there a detective who
1. Does not have insider info from the police
2. Can ask questions of suspects who refuse to answer
3. Does not go off half-cocked because she is in a big 'hurry up'
4. Will not put signifant others at risk from murderers without their knowledge or permission
5. Not be INSTANTLY forgiven for being a total jerk
6. Has to be at work during working hours and needs 7-8 hours sleep?

If so, I'd love to read her story! This is not that book. The detective knows, knows, knows she is right and no one else is even competent. *sigh*

Is there such a thing as a proof-listener?

Pretty straightforward cozy though I struggled to keep the large roster of characters straight as they pretty much all sounded the same. The thing that made me clench my teeth and made the listen aggravating was the number of mispronunciations. The reader has a pleasant voice and clear enunciation but many of her errors were jarring as the sentences just didn’t make sense, which one would think would have caught the ear of a director or audio engineer. Left me with an overall impression of sloppiness.

Not the best in series

I have read later books in this series and they were much more enjoyable. The basic premise sounded great, but the execution was wanting. Also, the protagonist was infinitely more self centered. And we won't even discuss the multiple horrid mispronunciations by the narrator--no, it was not due to regional or even national dialect.

The plot never thickend

The plot was o.k. , it bordered on boring. The heroin was watery and uninteresting. Maybe I would have enjoyed it more if the narrator did not do such an awful job, I have many audio books and she is the worst of the worst.
