A supervillain plans to dethrone the local criminals and become the new kingpin of an otherwise peaceful city in this fantasy superhero series.

A kinetic manipulator who can turn vibrations into devastating shockwaves, Rattles, has already torn through Eauclaire's defenses. Buildings are in ruins, heroes are falling, and now he's coming for the city's criminal mastermind herself. But a certain gang of teenage girls—who wield powers drawn from the animal kingdom—stands in his way . . .

Loyal and cunning, they wreak havoc in the name of their leader, known as the Boss. And thanks to their fight to tip the scales in the war between good and evil, evil always comes out ahead. But the Boss is no hardened villain. She's just Emily Wright, a college student with anxiety, self-doubt, and no real desire for world domination. Having accidentally summoned her devious sisters, all she wants is to keep them safe, even if it means breaking a few laws along the way.

All the while, attacks on the city persist, and Emily's fragile empire begins to crumble. To protect her sisters and her secret identity, she must form an uneasy alliance with Glamazon and the Heroic Response Force to take out this destructive new enemy.

And despite the overwhelming chaos, Emily still hopes doing good deeds might balance her moral scales—or at least keep her off the city's Most Wanted list. But Rattles has no intention of stepping down. The battle for Eauclaire will force Emily to decide whether she's a hero, a villain, or something far more dangerous.

The third volume of the hit LitRPG fantasy series—with almost two million views on Royal Road—is now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook!

The only thing that I can really say about the fluff series is that I went into this, knowing that I was going to get a superhero story and it was gonna be a sweet story what I have discovered is a story about a villain, who doesn’t want to be a villain, but who is really good at being a villain and is doing a lot of good even as a villain and a bunch of adorable little sisters to give a quote from the first book “my soul for an Ursa Minor plushy”

Improvement upon improvement

Emily just coasts through the story being completely reactionary. On top of that the pacing is horrible. It’s book three and it’s only been a single month… not to mention almost none of the ideas are hers (some mastermind). She only succeeds due to everyone else’s incompetence. Also the antagonist’s power makes no sense. Vibrations travel through hard objects much faster and easier then soft materials. That’s how soundproofing works. That’s how earthquakes work. It’s how you can hear echoes in a hallway or someone walking across a wooden floor. Yet Rattles says that it’s harder to send vibrations through a vehicle or a building.

The MC isn’t proactive and author is inconsistent in basic physics

It's like the book took all the bad sections the previous books had and focused on that. There are less entertaining and fun/cute sections. The book introduces a pretty annoying to read about threat and stops showing off the funny disconnects and cute kids. The double down on the communist bear is starting to wear thin and the character introspections are out in full force. The level progression being molasses really doesn't help things. I'm really hoping the next book will be better, otherwise I'm dropping the series and returning the book. I loved reading about a shy socially inept girl with her cute sisters having all sorts of funny misunderstandings.

More of the bad less of the good.
