New Orleans explained

What I love most about these books is how each one takes us to a different area of Southern USA. The history is entwined with the story happening in the 22st Century. I don’t think anyone in the world missed hearing about the devastation of Hurricane Katrina and this book really brought home the horror. Of course Faye and Joe continue their story and Faye learns more about her heritage. I am addicted to this series

This is a great series. Faye and the rest of the characters are very likable and intersting. The plot is believable and quickly paced. I would recommend this series to anyone.

Each of the books in this series has further developed the characters, and dealt with interesting history of different parts of the south. Totally recommend !

Can’t put this series down!

I’ve been doing a “marathon of listening” with Mary Anna Evens’ series, Faye Longchamp. The character development & storytelling is fantastic. Cassandra Campbell has a wonderful ability to weave the story along with her interpretation of each character. Love, love, love it all!

History

I like the way Mary Anne Evans brings in the history of the area that Faye is working in the story that is brought forth in this story. Love history and the archeology.

Live this series!

I just want to say I am rooting for joe. I really like the character building in these books, more and more is revealed in each book. I have a hard time to put the “book” down as I can’t wait to see the reveal of the whodunnit . I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Faye and Joe next.

easy listening

I have become hook on Fay's and Joe's adventures. The reader voice is pleasant and smooth. The mix races of all the characters even the ones that come and go is what building America was. wanting more dealing with the native dig sites.

Archeology, intrigue and strong characters.

Mary and Evans has created a wonderful character, and archaeologist, an intelligent woman, with intrigued and historica Southern l values. This book and books that I have read have before, never failed to entertain me. Looking forward to the next. I highly recommend her
