Top Notch Scifi

Very good performance and a great story. I truly enjoyed the first book and this book took it all in a new direction while maintaining personalities of the characters. I am excited for the next in the series.

Good sequel

This is a great sequel to an, so far amazing series I cannot wait for the next one! At least I hope there’s a next one with that cliff hanger

Five tribes

Wow...this audio book certainly had action, mystery, sci fy, and war enough for several books!! I enjoyed this and was continuously surprised by the turn of events.

Fascinating read!

Fascinating perspectives of political and cultural concepts in science and technology affecting ancient and future civilizations. I will read again and wait for next book to read more.

Great sequel!

Be sure to start with the first book, "The Last Sword Maker."

Seamless follow on the the first book and a continuation of the same story. I am anxiously awaiting the third book!!

More Action Needed

I thought the first book would've been excellent had there been a tab bit more action. well, this had even less action. A compelling story none the less, not enough umph. I'll certainly listen to the next one without hesitation, but just wish this one had more action.

Five Tribes. Five Stars.

I listened to The Last Sword Maker on a whim bc it sounded interesting and was included with my membership for free. I was pleasantly surprised that it ended up being one of the best books I’ve read to date (top 10 among all 1487 books in my library). Five Tribes is also one of the best books I’ve read to date. Nelson and Hastings are masters in their respective crafts. There’s absolutely no fluff or nonsense in this book — It’s beautifully written, superbly narrated, and covers a wide range of interesting and momentous subject matters.
Highly recommended, particularly if you enjoy realistic science and military-based thrillers.

A glimpse of the future of technology

Fascinating story line, full of action , conflicting motivations, and real world scenarios. Can’t wait for the sequel which begs to be written!

Best Book Ever

This book is an absolute masterpiece. I cannot wait for the next part to come… just wow!
As an ex military soldier I appreciate the authors use of correct lingo. As a human who sees technology being developed at record pace without care or concern for its impact this book will make your head spin.
The author does an incredible job at bringing each scene to life and the beauty of our main character living with these ancient people for a time is so beautiful it’ll make you cry.
I can’t wait for our protagonist to get his due. I hope it’s slow, I hope his career is ripped from his hands and he is left in shame and misery…
I think this book and it’s predecessor should be required reading - especially for scientists.

The story, overall, was good, but maybe do some actual research before writing about firearms.
