First Wave

I really loved listening to this book. It was very thrilling. You do have to pay attention to the book so you don't miss something that is key to the story line. This audiobook hooks you in and you will want to read the whole series. If you love thrill, action, and fantasy this series and book is for you. I give this wonderful book 5 out of 5 stars.

Action packed adventure

A fast paced sci-fi LitRPG story about Alec West, a man who suddenly finds himself in a world where reality has changed and people are forced to survive under a mysterious new “System.” All the while Alec has to learn new rules, gain abilities, and make difficult choices while trying to stay alive.
The story has plenty of action, danger, and mystery.

Pass the wave

This is my favorite genre; as a fan of role-playing games, I really connect with stories like Alec's. He wakes up in a reality where he possesses powers and must learn to control them to level up and keep advancing through the "waves"—his only option for survival, or else the system will consume him. I enjoyed all the action in the book and Alec's adventures alongside his allies; it also has its moments of comedy. Highly recommended.

So good

First Wavw by Marko Duskborn is so good I loved every minute of this book. Alec is learning that he is being ranked in a system that no one can see but have heared of. He learns some tools have more than one purpose, and something is waking up beneath them. The first wave is were they find out who is strong and who go into the system. Such a great book I loved.

Fast-paced and edge of your seat apocalypse!

Wow! This book was amazing from beginning to end. This is my very first sci-fi book. I don't think I could have picked a better book to start my journey! The author describes everything that is happening in such great detail that you feel like you are right there with Alec (and crew) and they try to survive this great apocalypse! I love the way the narrator describes the story and characters even before you read chapter one. That set me up and got me ready to listen. It was a great trailer for the book. From chapter one until the end, I couldn't wait to see what was coming next. With every battle, I held my breath. I wasn't sure what creature they would battle, who would survive, or what the "level up" would entail. I can't wait to read book 2!
