Turns out I was right about the technology. And about how angry they’d be. But the way they look…that’s more terrifying than even I could have imagined. They look exactly like us. Because they are us.

And yet...
Great scifi series and robust character development marred only with the author's overuse of the phrase "and yet...". It's so pervasive and annoying that I almost stopped listening after the first hour. Hope the story continues - without the "and yet...".

the side relationship added nothing of value...
it was just there as a drama device and added nothing.
