Adrift in a post-apocalyptic world, they only have each other. Is it enough?

A virus that turns the infected into zombie-like killers spreads through a burning world thrown into lawless chaos. Lovers Parker and Adam have escaped to the open sea when they hear a message over the airwaves from a place called Salvation Island - a supposed safe haven.

Orphaned as a child, werewolf Adam has always longed for a pack. He's eager to investigate the island, but Parker doesn't think for a nanosecond that the voice on the radio can be believed. He doesn't trust anyone but Adam and is determined to keep it that way. They don't need anyone else complicating their struggle to survive. Or do they?

Danger on the high seas can surface in a heartbeat, and if Parker and Adam aren't careful, the current will drag them under.

Contains mature themes.

Andrew's is one of my go to writers, her storytelling never disappoints. This series is innovative and exciting, an incredible spin on zombie stories.
I totally recall a listen as I've made sure to read everything Andrew's writes. My backlog of her titles is getting shorter and shorter.

phenomenal series!

I'm so glad I finally got to finish this series! Thank you to my Secret Holiday Elf for the gift which I happily upgraded to the whispersynced audio version! Love, love Tristan James so it was a real treat to have him perform this one for me.

Creative and wonderfully dark story, with lots of twists and turns - plus great characters with a fascinating dynamic. Highly recommend!

Fantastic Series!

We will never know for sure if a cure will be developed (but there is the possibility thanks to the mad scientist in the first book) and we will never know for sure how the virus was developed and then initially disseminated. But what we do know is that our Heroes survived and are safe and sound in a werewolf resort of sorts 😉. We know they will continue to move forward and thrive. Keira Andrews is a very talented writer - she is able to write about things that seemingly aren't possible not only become possible they end up being believable. Dawn of the Dead featuring werewolves...the main character on a motorcycle at that! who'd 've thunk it? Keira Andrews apparently. This was a very refreshing m/m romance with very realistic feelings and definitly sexy. The only fly in the ointment is the narrator. Tristan James is a good performer, when I sped him up slightly it worked in Parker's favor - as Parker is kinda high strung and melodramatic (which was both entertaining and/or annoying at times) but I don't think Tristan's voice was suitable for this book. He has a smooth sounding more mature voice that would probably be suitable if this book took place in the 1920's or 40's. But still, although not suitable, I was still able to enjoy the story telling.

4 stars - I would listen again

Very enjoyable read and satisfying conclusion!

I know this was the end but I’d KILL for another novel with Parker and Adam…..I only had 1 complaint…. Like where the heck did fisting sex thing come from!!! Seriously Not something I wana read, and I HIGHLY doubt wether like me your a gay male or one of the numerous women who read these..I don’t think ANYONE enjoyed it..I quite literally skipped forward on that scene, everything else was insanely good, well and I thought the fate of Abby wasn’t necessary, I think having her live woulda added more to it than her dying. But other than that I loved it!!!!!

I hope!!

this was a great installment to what is turning into a fantastic series! I read it years ago on kindle and am so excited it is out on audio now (Tristan James was great!). hopefully book 3 will be out soon!

Listening to this was just like rereading this duet for the first time and oh my god. It was just as beautiful and heartbreaking as the first time I read it. Tristian James does a WONDERFUL job at every character and I cannot wait to see if he does the third one (when it comes out!)

Stunning HFN ending

I loved the first book in this series even though it was from Parker's POV the entire time and I kept wishing we got a glimpse into Adam's thoughts. This wish was answered in the second book. The Dual POV was a welcome change from the first book. The narration was also very well done.
My only issue with this is that it didn't feel like the series was finished. I'm probably just being stubborn and liking things to be wrapped up at the end, but we were left with several unanswered questions which I'm not a fan of.

An enjoyable read

Only gave 3 stars because there are no resolutions to several points which have been hanging over the reader for one to two books. If the date this was written is any hint, there will not be more in this series. [UPDATE there is a third on its way so I HOPE we get a Happily Ever After ] I know she writes better (as in more complete, resolved) plots because I have read them.
It’s a shame we won’t get answers to those very obvious dangling questions. They felt like deliberate points (not the apocalypse part) and were brought up often, then, surprise! Book is over. I guess those points were planted to support at least one more story, but other things became a priority, who knows? Even if this is the middle of a trilogy which never was finished, it still felt like a very abrupt end.

Would I be half as annoyed about this if I hadn’t liked the characters and the potential? Of course not.

I mean throw me a bone with that quickie ending and at least let us know who ended up with what job, or who the heck the new people are, if the sus person reforms or is run off, if soundproofing is a thing where they end up, if if if if? Argh. Happily For Now I understand, but whole plot threads dangling in what seems like an abandoned series? [I was wrong. It isn’t abandoned ]

Loose Ends but Enjoyable [update: third book has been announced on audible]

I like this book because not everyone has to be gay, and most others make everyone gay. Also the twists are nice.

Very good.
