Great Book!

This is a great book; this is the first book in the Barrington Billionaires Series written by Danielle Stewart and narrated by Robin Rowan. This book can be listened to as a standalone but you will want to listen to them all. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator.

Liked the book, hated the narration

Would you be willing to try another one of Robin Rowan’s performances?

No. I bought the Audible by accident when buying the book, and turned it on three-quarters of the way through the book. The breathy, high-pitched voice used for Libby was so ridiculous that I turned it off immediately.

Meh at best.

First of all, the breathy voice only worked for Marilyn Monroe. It did not sound good on the heroin. Also, the heroine was whiny and a huge mouse. I didn’t look to see when this book was written, but there were so many potential sexual harassment suit’s that HR would’ve had a cow. Naked bodies and sex on the beach is tricky enough without the hero pouring sand on top of the heroin. And you’re not going near those girly parts until you get all that sand thoroughly washed off. Not much depth or strength in the characters. And the men should not be saddled with voices that sound nasally and prepubescent.

good audio but i dont think the person that is reading the book is the right voice for this book
i like this book more as an ebook but the audio wasnt all that bad

good story but narration a problem

enjoy the basic storyline but narrator a female voices too breathy. all women characters sounded like they were out of breath. Made listening rather difficult at times.

Libby's voice was pretty annoying

The story was fine and so was narrator until she reads Libby's character it was so annoying and way too high pitched, totally unnecessary and clearly not the narrators own pitch. Why??? I almost stopped listening several times but the story and the narrators decent job on most of the other characters helped push me to the finish line.

Great start to this series

What did you like best about this story?

James West is a hard man in this book, but the love of a good woman can bring him around. Libby is way too sweet for James, but she has a way of getting to him and softening him, making him a better person. Great story and a joy to read. This series goes along with two other author's series so if you are reading them it brings new meaning when it talks about people, but it is great as a stand alone also.

I have many books narrated by Robin Rowan and enjoy them all.

Love the story

The story is very smooth and flows well. The writing is amazing. the performance was good. A little raspy in spots, but good.

Decent Story with heavy angst!

Overall opinion: 3.5 Stars

I understand how abuse can make people timid but at times, the h was way to wishy-washy. Overall this is a decent story with a power ending that has some TSTL moments. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

A good romance story

I enjoyed this book. It is the first in this series and I would like to listen to more from this author. the narrator did a good job took me a bit to get used to the voice but was good. great story well worth listening to .
