Interesting premise and start to a series. It doesn’t have quite the edge or connection, for me, of Death Becomes Her, but I’m still engaged enough to want to see what happens next.
Yes, the author notes are part of the fun in this book.

Mr. Brownstone is the man
enjoyed this book immensely. took a chance after seeing the reviews and just got the audible version first. good decision on my part . the characters are complicated without being soooooo deep that they are untouchable. on to book two.

Good story
Another good story from Michael. It’s a bit different than his other stories, but still was quite enjoyable. The only issue I had was the recording quality.

good read
This was a good book. Very temperamental in its characters. Some of the book was a bit hard to follow but overall the premise was a good one. A bit like a magical John Wick.

The Ugly Teddybear
Its obvious the James Motherfucking Brownstone is a hard ass with a soft spot for the innocent. Love his interactions with Allison and Shea

When I started it, I wasn’t sure if I would like it One chapter in and I was hooked. Can’t wait to start reading the next book
