Acerca de esta escucha

A stolen destiny. An impossible quest.

Kara Valari has broken one of the underworld’s highest laws and is serving the ultimate sentence. But nothing - not even the impossible quest of breaching the boundaries of hell and facing off with Hades himself - will keep Maximus Kane from rescuing her. The journey will demand all of Maximus’s courage...and help from an unlikely guide. Driven by love, he sets off into a dark realm he only knows from the tattered pages of Dante’s Comedy.

In hell’s bleak world, every part of Kara’s soul is subjected to Hades’s morbid fascination and merciless assault. Giving in to his demands means sharing the intimate details of why she dared to disobey him - a love for Maximus that, even now, burns on in her heart. Just when Kara resolves herself to an eternity of her nightmare, she discovers a glimmer of hope...a way to glimpse her beloved. Could her visions of Maximus unite them once more, or are they just another twisted punishment for her in a kingdom designed for agony?

In those fleeting moments of light and passion, Kara rekindles her fight to survive. Darkness may still separate her from Maximus, but they’re connected by fate. But can their love survive this storm?

The performance was great.
I think the narrators hit it just right.
I hate what a
happened to Geo.
I know it's not likely but I would love a story with Zeus and Maximus' mother. When Zeus practically growled when they were at the makeshift hospital at the university. Oh lawd. I felt that on my bones. I can't wait for the next installment to this series.

Great story

I hope we don't have to wait to long for the next adventure. I love the voices and the way the story was written.

I loved all three books

This is a beautiful love story. I was pleasantly surprised that a PNR would be so well written. I’m really looking forward to the next book..sad I have to wait so long!

Great Story

I only purchased this book hoping it would wrap up the series but alas, it’s another cliffhanger (books 1-3 are not stand-alones). The first book was good. The second was okay. The 3rd was unfortunately background noise. Male narrator Jacob Morgan was fantastic as always (main reason I purchased the books) but I do think he was miscast. The character he reads is literally bigger than life and kinda demands a deeper voice - maybe Aiden Snow, or cover model Brock O’hurn? Unfortunately I really did not like the female narrator Jennifer Mack. Her storytelling tone is very robotic, which when combined with a change in tone to 80s soap over-dramatization during periods of steamy romance or action was jarring to the senses. That said, her character’s speaking voices were great.

Sigh ….
