and much more. This series has everything A reader could ask for in a fantasy book, including shape shifters Heroines, and even political intrigues. I have read over 50 of Lindsay Buroker's books multiple times and always wish there were more in each series.

So Much Fun!!!

The mix of humor, action, likable characters, compelling story with a dash of romance make. this series the most enjoyable listen I've had in a long time.

love everything about it, twists everywhere

lindsey burokoer has an amazing complex imagination. most books I read I can figure out the ending of the main plot. but she had me scratching my head till the end. I love love love the sexual tension and struggle for dominance of the 2 main characters. makes me wish we had dragons!!
the voice of Viviane will forever belong to this book series for me. I hope she does them all.

Several mysteries

This audiobook has several mysteries happening at once, along with Val’s relationship growth with Zav. Still lots of humor to keep it light

Blind leading the blind- good times!

“Should have told him about the hickeys”
This series is more about the fun and the comedy than clever mysteries and intrigue. But that’s okay:
I like a little cheese in my urban fantasy. Or, a lot of cheese. Once I thought of Zav as the dragon version of Hemsworth’s Thor, I could get behind a slow burn romance between a condescending meathead and a gal that kicks A but only solves mysteries by bumbling along, Scooby-style, unmasking bad guys through luck and stupidity.

“It’s definitely time to move”
The recurring schticks are now something I look forward to, from everyone assuming The Ruin Bringer is behind every bad thing befalling the magical community, to the number of folks invading Val’s home.
I still wish there were more scenes with the supporting cast hanging together, or fighting together.
But, I have to say these books have hit my sweet spot for balancing fun, action, magic, and romance.

False Security

Another face paced action filled addition to this series. Val , despite repeated battles, can’t get dragons to respect her abilities or motives. The sub characters are fascinating, and it is good to see them prosper. I can’t wait to see what Eleven abilities Val discovers she has. So that means off to the next book. Going a bit slower now to fully enjoy the humor and romance portions.

LOVED IT!!!

False Security is highly entertaining with humorous and witty dialogue and a well-written plot. I love this series and look forward to the next book.

The plot thickens!

Once again this story outlines that dragons should not be trifled with. You got to agree with Val $2500 per day working as a bodygaurd is fine rate of pay. She knew it could buy a lot of Bar-Be-Que and help pay off her car loan.
There was a lot of things going on here in this addition to the Death Before Dragons series addition.
I really love all of the enthusiasm that Leheny brings to this book. She did a great job!

Vampires and Chickens

False Security, book 5 in the Death Before Dragons series by Lindsay Buroker was a gem. Besides all the good traits usually found in the previous books, the humor was at an all time high in False Security. Well placed. It balanced the action while expanding the characters and overall story. Really good book. DRmz 4-10-23

Creative as always

Who would have thought breading on chicken strips would be an issue. Always love the wit in Lindsay's books.
