Fake Fiancé: A Second Chance Office Romance is a contemporary romance by Amy McKinley. This is my new favorite book by Ms. McKinley. I was just the right length to fill an afternoon. Adeline and Stone have chemistry that is off the charts. The dialogue is witty and made me laugh out loud. I highly recommend this audiobook and look forward to listening to many more by Amy McKinley.
Regan Brown did an excellent job with the narration. Her voice is smooth and easy to listen to and makes the characters come to life. She is on my look out list for narrators.

Adeline Rossi doesn't need a fortune teller to tell her that her fate is far from home. She crosses the Atlantic to Italy with career goals in mind, having secured a dream work. It's anything but love when she arrives in the city of love. Her ridiculously hot manager is grumpy, and the design team's leader is a significant issue. Stone Crenshaw, a wealthy businessman, plagued by disturbing hallucinations, can't wait for the renovations in his historic hotel to be finished. As if that weren't bad enough, he's still dealing with an instant attraction to his clumsy recruit. When a family-oriented hotelier wishes to sell, Stone takes advantage of the situation and attaches a fake fiancée to Adeline's management responsibilities.

I loved the storyline. It was such an enjoyable book to listen to. It is also a quick read for on the go.

A love that pulls you in!!

This was a really great story. There was plenty of emotion, intrigue, and spice to keep you wanting more. You have to pay attention in the beginning, so you are clear on when they are going back to Christiano and Francesca. Stone sounded like a real catch and I loved how smart and strong Adeline was. It makes me want to visit Italy even more than I did before I read this book (which was a lot). This is definitely a must read and a story you will totally enjoy! 10 out of 10!

This is a full length Audiobook. This contemporary romance will give a new light to office romances.

Stone Crenshaw has his own demons and having a clumsy assistant just adds to his list. There is something about Adeline that sparks Stone's interest. Can these two unlikely people work together? Can Adeline win over her new coworkers?

Amy McKinley is the author of this office romance. It is well written and will draw you in on the first meeting between Adeline and Stone. You can't help but fall in love with the characters. You also can't help disliking some of these characters as well. I really enjoyed listening to this contemporary romance, and I am sure you will as well. Well Done Amy McKinley! Well Done.

Fake Fiancé is a sophisticated romance novel that takes place in awe striking Verona where Romeo and Juliet fell in love and died for each other. The story follows Adeline, a strong, beautiful, clumsy woman with a drive to strengthen her career. Stone is a young entrepreneur who owns a hotel and is looking to expand. Neither realize what they really need until she falls into his life. The time period romance warms your heart and makes you realize how lucky we are to be able to live and love in our present world. Will this couple be able to work it out for reals? Or will their past mess everything up?

So passionate you wont be able to put it down

I was very surprised by this audiobook; it was very engaging and captivating. You could feel their chemistry coming off the words and narration. I could not stop listening to it. I recommend this listen to anyone who enjoys heartwarming office romance. As I was listening I was cheering for Adeline’s character to find her happily every after what that meant for her, she is such a strong woman that it is nice to see her vulnerable through parts of the book.

Loved It!!!

First time really listening to a book, instead of actually reading, and I must say I really enjoyed it. Adeline and Stone’s story is very intriguing. She starts working for Stone as his assistant while his regular assistant is on maternity leave. She just seems to crash into Stone and from there the flashbacks begin. They feel as if they’d met before kind of a déjà vu. Then he asks her to be his fake fiancé and they start to hit it off. Both begin to have feelings for each other. I truly enjoyed listening to this book. I think I’ll try it again with another of this author’s books

Cute Story

A quick listen for a relaxing Saturday. This story had a good storyline, interesting characters and a happy ending. The dynamic of the flashbacks was great, but it was hard to grasp in the beginning. Probably would have realized if I read the book vs listening to the audible version. But good overall and the flashback dynamic made it interesting.

I loved this story. While short and sweet, it was absolutely well pieced together and the story moved smoothly. It did not feel rushed and each chapter rolled into the other without feeling lost in the story as if having missing important information.
The chemistry between Stone and Adeline is quick and fantastic. It burns hot and quick and I love the banter and quick wit that Adeline has.
This book is for lovers of YA, and Romance. This is a solid 5 out of 5 stars.

Fun, flirty, easy to read office romance!

This was my first McKinley book, so I had no idea what to expect other than I loved the synopsis and the cover. I’m so glad I judged this book by the beautiful cover and snatched it up! McKinley’s skill with world-building was just as beautiful as the Italian setting she describes, and don’t get me started on the characters!! STONE!! Holy Smokes!! Handsome, wealthy, set in his ways Alpha with a “pretend” soft spot for his assistant! Adeline is strong, beautiful, confident, and really dang good at her job especially when her role became loving “fiancé” to her boss. I truly loved McKinley’s attention to making both of the leads independent, mentally healthy, confident individuals who truly formed a mutually beneficial bond. That doesn’t mean it always goes well for them, but you feel that both Stone and Adeline are a true catch worthy of finding love, even if it isn't with the other. I can’t wait to find my next McKinley read!!
