The racism was off putting.
The story was great but just hearing the hatred towards a select race of people in general was hard to get past. I understand that a lot of people are not nice but the way the author put every white person into the same horrible group was just ignorant. Just like any race there are individuals. And the main character was a complete jerk and no better than the people she complained about.

ending was confusing but...
I felt like it was a good take on a different (from mine) culture and how even within cultures we can make mistakes. the ending though left me scratching my head. all told it was free, so I enjoyed the listen.

Thought provoking
Cultural, ethical, and stereotypical issues sway with ease from two great voice actors with morality as the final ending stunner. Well done and perfect length to swirl the issues into something heartfelt and actually believable.

So enjoyable.
I really enjoyed listening to this. I had started a Grisham novel in the afternoon and couldn’t stand the narrators voice so I picked this up and wow! I want more. It really was a joy to listen to. All the time I really hoped the two of them would get together. Ambition won out. That’s the real world.
