Ana Dakkar is a freshman at Harding-Pencroft Academy, a five-year high school that graduates the best marine scientists, naval warriors, navigators, and underwater explorers in the world. Ana's parents died while on a scientific expedition two years ago, and the only family's she's got left is her older brother, Dev, also a student at HP. Ana's freshman year culminates with the class' weekend trial at sea, the details of which have been kept secret. She only hopes she has what it'll take to succeed.

A amazing book
This is another great book from the Fablehaven series. I have read it a lot, but it never seems to get less interesting. I think this is one of Brandon Mull’s best yet. As to the narrating, superb, E. B. Stevens makes the best little voices for each and every character.

Get a new narrator
I love the fablehaven series. But this narrator needs to work on his narrating. There were so many weird pauses, and the phrasing made no sense. Some words were squished together while others were awkwardly separated. Someone should have been sitting in while this was recorded. The character voices were done well though.
