Exceptional!!

I don't know what to say to do this book (and indeed the series) justice. I didn't want it to end but knew it had to. I've found it hard in the last few years to find a series that could capture my attention fully....until I started reading these.

This book has everything I've come to expect from both these authors. Action, edge of your seat suspense, strong characters and a story that will grab you and not let go. Once I started reading i couldn't stop. It was exceptional.

I'll update the review when I've thought a bit on how to fully express my thoughts!!! Take my word for it though, go read this series if you haven't already.

R.C Bray is an amazing narrator. He doesn't just read a book, he performs it and makes it come alive. Every character has their own tone and he knows how to read with emotion behind them.

Allays good when its extinction cycle

kind of a bummer that its getting wrapped up but never know there could be more to come. added side note after listening for a 2nd time . if RC Bray would just go ahead an re read the entire series i could then consider it in the top 3 best stories told on audio of all time . no disrespect .

REALLY ENJOYED IT.

This was a real fun series. My only gripe was that it was a bit predictable in who lived and died. If it had been an episode of Star Trek the non white/ Caucasian characters would have been wearing red shirts.

I managed to that into a fun game by accurately guessing with 95 % accuracy who lived and died.

Good series could use more humor

People use humor to deal with trauma especially soldiers. So it would be more realistic and provide emotional buffer to the frenetic pace of the action.

amazing book.

very rarely do I actually write a review for a book but this one deserves it. every book in this series was fantastic and this ending was the ending that this series needed. by the end you are so enthralled by the characters and the challenges that they have to overcome. do yourself a favor and listen to or read the 4 books in this series. i definitely will listen to this again and I'm looking forward to it.

Solid end to a good series!

Slightly disappointed in the ending but it was enjoyable and I enjoyed this 4 book set

An exciting conclusion

This book had me gripped from beginning to end. There is so much character development and a truly unique take on the post-apocalyptic genre that it’s hard to not consume it voraciously.

This is one of those books, heck the whole series, is one I wish I could forget so I could listen or read it again for the first time.

There are some sad parts, but overall you come away with more hope for our survivors.

I really hope NSS revisits this world in the future. I truly enjoyed every gripping moment.
