Narration

I enjoyed both story and narration and look forward to Book 4. Though I see that yet again there is a change in performer. Does anyone know why there is a different narrator for each book? Please stick to one person! The narration for Books 1 and 3 was very good to excellent!

good story

I enjoyed the story..but I skipped several chapters when I decided who the murderer was...chuckle. looking forward to the next one!

Outstanding Story (series)

As always A. M. Stuart’s story is inventive and full of intrigue. I especially like that Harriet Gordon has a past and is not a prim Victorian female. A narrator can make or break a wonderful story, so please! Go back to Saskatoon Maarleveld as your narrator. Her voice has that mysterious quality and rings true for a woman who has endured much sorrow and unjust punishment and rejection. Ms McEwan and Ms Dowd, both have wonderful accents, but make Harriet sound like a simpering sheltered woman—which she is not. In keeping with the fact that Harriet has had a tube forcibly shoved down her throat many times Saskia’s deeper pitch is more realistic. I am so looking forward to the next book. The characters of Inspector Curran and Harriet Gordon work wonderfully together.

I enjoyed the flow of the story and the introduction of the new people, also the lead into the next book or story

Great suspense mystery!!

Great story with suspense, mystery and wonderful descriptions of characters and the culture of Singapore!! The narrator was very good and kept the story alive!
Colonial life was interesting, exciting and sadly discrimination was prevalent.
